Was curious after the game Friday night how Cooper’s numbers look in comparison with the rookie class since he returned from the foot injury that sidelined him three weeks. Top 10 rookies in ppg since Coop’s return on March 5 are listed below…easily best in scoring and 1 or 2 in rebs, asst, stls, blks among that group as well. The only guy in the league posting these pts, rebs, asst, stls, blks since his return (even if he by chance he slips a little below the 23 ppg and 7 rpg in the finale on Sunday as noted below) The finish line is here in a long and challenging season with a big offseason of work involved for many. But it has been an incredible season for Cooper to do these things as an 18/19 year old and especially with the unique dynamics of how the season played out from a team perspective.

Michael Wilbon says he’s voting Jaylen Brown for MVP “I have a vote in this. And I will tell you it’s tightened up. My vote, and I’m not even sure the order. I think it’s Jaylen Brown one, I think it’s SGA two, and I think it’s Victor three. And then don’t talk to me about a guy who plays half the court, Luka Dončić.” (Via @PTI h/t @awfulannouncing , @TheNBABase )

NIGEL JAMES IS MICHAEL JORDAN. #MUBB

I’m not saying Mavs need to trade Luka. But if a team offered a good young player and 5 1st round picks, would you consider it? Let’s say that young player is Lauri Markkanen.
