@bagsfan75_Tony I had Haggis once. Not bad, honestly. I'm open to trying Frog's legs, just never ran into a place they are served. Not a fan of beef liver - the iron flavor overpowers everything for me no matter what they do to it. Never tried escargot, but willing as well.

This concession stand worker spots a kid messing with parked cars in the lot — so he confronts the boy and tells him to stop. Instead of backing down, the cocky kid starts brutally mocking the man’s height, shoving him, throwing punches, and taunting him nonstop. The worker stays calm at first and warns the kid multiple times… then grabs his phone and tells the kid, “I’m going to get my sister over here to whoop your ass.” But the kid still refuses to back down. Then… the man finally snaps and shoves him straight to the ground. Be honest — did the kid have it coming… or should the adult have just walked away?

"He gave her the opportunity to pick it up" Not the opportunity to take it the first time - which we all agree she should have done. But you can only pick something up after it has been dropped. So, watching the video, where was she given the opportunity to pick up something that had already been dropped? Not only do words matter, but so does accuracy.

@TonyLaneNV I think we'd be better off as a country if we applied this same level of punishment publicly for several different crimes. Say what you will, but the level of crime in Singapore is astoundingly low and is one of the safest countries in the world.

She wasn't given the opportunity to pick it up. When she tossed it, he went 0-60 for littering and decided then and there she was going to be yeeted out of the car. She's unsympathetic, but that doesn't mean he's in the clear. Reasonable force is allowed, but it could be viewed as excessive force by the courts.

He gave her the opportunity to pick it up, she refused. life is about choices and consequences. she made a bad choice, now she gets consequences

He could have (and probably should have) issued her a second citation for littering - as that's the reason he pulled her out of the car. It's generally better for cops to deescalate the situation either way. She's unsympathetic to be sure, but when she fails to show up for her ticket or pay her new citation, then she has a bench warrant to deal with. It also would prevent any accusations of excessive force being used in the process.

This young lady put in for PTO for a vacation and the manager she’s speaking with her on the phone preapproved it, so the young lady booked her trip, paid for everything and as she’s getting ready to close out her existing work and head off for vacation the manager “revokes” her vacation, her employee has $3000 invested in and the managers explanation is “I’m allowed to change my mind” and further expounds that she “shouldn’t have gotten” insurance on the trip.🙄 Her only recourse is to take it to human relations which will most likely decide in her favor audience which will further enflame the relationship with the manager, how do you deal with people like that ?

While a family was out shopping together a rude lady parked her car diagonally and when the shoppers returned to their vehicle to try to squeeze in through the tight quarters only then did she open the door to make sure they didn’t “damage her car” when the lady in the white SUV opened the door to address the young ladies tirades first she claimed she was two months pregnant, then she claimed she was second trimester threatening to drag her out of the car if she “tried to injure her baby“ while she was the one that put herself in that position,, I am of the opinion this lady was looking for trouble, little old ladies don’t shoehorn their way into parking places that tight only to struggle exiting the vehicle. what are your thoughts on this situation ?

Promissory Estoppel is the legal protection. She had a promise of the time off, which is something relied on when she spent all the $ for non-refundable things. The business will likely be required to take care of that. Further, there's an implied contract within the law. There are legal protections, if you take the right routes.
