Oregon wolves, or from Canada. I wasn't unclear on where I was, and anyway, wolves can travel astounding distances in short time. But the reason I stopped in Grand County at that sign was to draw attention to the concern of the residents at ground zero of that first release. It was enough for them to buy a banner and mount it, and it is a shared concern in Western and Southern Colorado. I was pleased to help spread their message a bit wider.

Polis worked with the federal govt to coordinate the language that allowed Canadian wolves to be trapped in Canada then released in Colorado, after Prop 114 supposedly passed in 2020's dubious elections. They aren't the same species that were once in Colorado. In the opinion of many, the federal government under Biden was loose in its use of the experimental population rule. Under President Trump, the policy has been tightened somewhat. In the eyes of many in Western and Southern Colorado, this was an "experiment" of the Polis state, with the aid of the the Biden Regime that was aimed directly at the rural way of life, and ranchers suffer the brunt of it.
