Football games are fhe leading esports in Africa. efootball mobile by Konami is hugely popular in the continent with about +740 000 active users in Kenya and +420000 users in Kenya. There is great opportunity to tap into especially for national federations.

FINALLY! This is impressive. To see @CAF_Online enter the video gaming space is much welcomed. Hopefully the partnership with Konami for AFCON 2025 & 2027 will move beyond the gaming activations to include esports tournaments for the continent....

We were honoured to have him as the Guest of Honour at the Mauritius Esports Summit, and we look forward to welcoming him to Kenya in May 2026 for the Africa–France Summit, where esports is set to take centre stage as a key emerging pillar in the creative economy and sports.
