We're currently experiencing a technical issues with a tram, causing service disruption on the Tram Train. Engineers are working to resolve it ASAP. Sorry for the inconvenience. No service between Tinsley and Parkgate. Tickets accepted on First bus until further notice.
@Splott_D@craic_horse@SY_Supertram How is that any different to using the purple tram…? It’s two stops from Herdings to Gleadless, which you then have to change… numpty.
Planned engineering works will take place between Gleadless Townend and Halfway/Herdings Park from tomorrow. Trams will not run on this section. A replacement bus will operate between Hollinsend and Halfway via Lister Avenue. Full details: orlo.uk/JIUa1
@Tigerblade1967@warrenmate they were telling replacement buses to do the same today, run them all late and turn at Crystal Peaks stranding Halfway as usual! Kicked off at Crystal Peaks for it to go back…
@warrenmate Like they say, if they are delayed, they turn 'em round at Drakehouse etc, it's an absolute shambles. Then they wonder why folk drive instead 🫤
Ever wondered why people don't like using & trusting public transport? Been at Halfway @SY_Supertram yonks. 1639 not turned up, 1 minute away from the 1651 departing & it's not here. So frustrating. Waiting for the usual it was delayed so we turned a tram round to keep on time
@SY_Supertram this tram replacement has been one of the worst on record, today buses from either the scrap yard or a museum used on the tram replacement.
Thought it was ran by city transport, seems to be more like a show for the bus enthusiast community!
@SouthYorksMCA@TravelSYorks@SY_Supertram@SheffieldStar who the hell is meant to be running the tram replacements? I’ve seen 4 bus companies now and they all have different info. And why are there kids in City Transport hi-vis vests telling buses to wait making them late?!
@EssexMe18@CutMyTaxUK@Heidi_Labour Apart from the fact one electric bus costs in the region of £400,000-£500,000… even the repowered vehicles cost £250,000.
Today we’ve announced 484 new zero‑emission buses across England, backed by £73.2 million of Government investment.
Here’s a few examples of what that means for communities across the country👇
@DVSAgovuk@DVSA_HelpMe@TravelSYorks@TrafficCommsGB@SouthYorksMayor this is not an accessible way of travelling and those paper numbers pose a serious risk, why are they taking up so much of the windscreen? And why are normal bus services being granted S22? Not good enough.
@EASPORTSFC just wondering how after all these years you still have the same wank bugs. Menus crashing, “updating store…”, Friends menu won’t close, fix it ffs would’ve thought you’d learnt by now
@UberUKI_Support how come all of your delivery drivers are that incompetent they can’t follow the simplest delivery instructions ever? Twice in as many weeks I’ve ordered groceries, they’ve failed to follow the instructions and the shopping hasn’t arrived (probably stolen)…
@Splott_D@SY_Supertram They may be old but still so their jobs. There's also no room in Nunnery Depot in for more trams. There are plans to replace the trams in the distant future. In the shorter term, refurbishment has been put to tenders. Our system is very unique and has requirements
Here’s a look at the transformation at Shalesmoor tram stop.
Our dedicated Cleaning team has been busy refreshing the paintwork and giving the stop a deep clean.

@FirstSouthYorks@BusUsersUK thought it was a requirement for your newest vehicles to be fitted with working Audio Visual Announcements - why aren’t they? You’ve had since October to sort them out and so far I’ve seen one bus with them working!
