Today we announced ongoing support from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to accelerate the development of mRNA-based pandemic influenza vaccines. The award was made through the Rapid Response Partnership Vehicle (RRPV) Consortium with funding from the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), part of the HHS Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR). Michelle and Joe Longo's third child was not tested for #cytomegalovirus (CMV) at birth and was discharged, despite exhibiting warning signs of the disease, including failing a newborn hearing screening. After persistent hearing problems, and seeking the opinion of multiple healthcare professionals, their son was diagnosed with congenital CMV at four months old. Moderna and @Merck today announced that mRNA-4157 (V940), an investigational individualized neoantigen therapy, in combination with KEYTRUDA, Merck’s anti-PD-1 therapy, demonstrated sustained improvement in recurrence-free survival and distant metastasis-free survival compared with KEYTRUDA alone in patients with high-risk stage III/IV melanoma following complete resection. These data are being presented for the first time today during a rapid oral abstract session at the 2024 @ASCO Annual Meeting (abstract hashtag#LBA9512).
