That mentality is exactly why clubs constantly restart instead of building. People also need to stop acting like success is guaranteed because a manager is highly rated elsewhere. If the structure is not right, every manager will fail. What matters is recruitment, player profiles, coaching development stability, patience through difficult periods Not every solution is solved by chasing the newest trendy manager. Carrick deserves to be judged on the actual progress happening which is improved structure, better organisation, development of players, results during difficult periods and keeping the dressing room together Fans complain about the club lacking direction, but many supporters themselves change direction every 48 hours based on rumours, social media hype and aesthetics. If the club truly believes in Carrick, then fans should at least allow the project to breathe before behaving like every external link means failure. At the end of the day, if the club decides to keep Carrick, he might outperform Xabi Alonso at Chelsea the same way he did Liam Rosenior.
