Our links is something of an oxymoron. A pure links experience played in the shadow of industrial infrastructure and the 10th oldest courses in England, yet host of modern championships including the NEWAC, the 2024 English Amateur, and the Northern Counties North of England Am.

The saddest of days-Friend,Colleague and Godfather to my daughter Barry Lane passed today. We played hard,enjoyed a glass or two and for 40 odd years remained best of buddies. My sincere condolences to Camilla,and kids Ben,Emma and Elliot.Rest in peace Baz
