@justinmaniluh Therefore, keeping many filipinos Poor is the best weapon for the Greedy Corrupt Politicians, for their Patronage, Idolatry & Ayudas System to always succeed. . In history, it is always the MIDDLE CLASS to seek more from their systems and government, NOT the poor.

Pulse Asia Survey and Resolution of Both Houses Nos. 6 & 7 It is no secret that I support the Resolution of Both Houses Nos. 6 & 7, but a survey result is a survey result. I take it as is. Some surveys might be flawed one way or another but it is a mirror of something and must be taken seriously. But I do not think that this survey is a reflection of how people feel about the two filed resolutions. Let me explain further! The Resolution of Both Houses Nos. 6 & 7 only cover 1. Public Utility 2. Advertising (not mass media) and 3. Schools and Universities. If you look at Table No. 7, with the exemption of foreign ownership in terms of Education -all are irrelevant to the measures filed. I can go as far as saying that the “proposed changes or amendments” listed in the survey are amendments highly politicized! The Marcos Administration is consistent in saying that the constitutional amendments will only be limited to the economic provision as reflected in both resolutions. Just for the record the discussion in both of houses of the legislative and the recently passed Resolution of Both Houses No. 7 doesn’t have foreign ownership in mass media, changing current form of government to federal system, term extension, changing presidential to parliamentary (recently added question), bicameral to unicameral (recently added question), exploitation of natural resources etc. Those are not even on the table! If there is one thing advocates of constitutional amendments and proponents of RBH 6 & 7 should take note: they (or should I say we) should be more aggressive in information dissemination regarding this. The challenge is its complexity! I do not agree with what Sen. Ejercito said that the People’s Initiative backfired, as March 2023 data indicates that 41% agrees with the constitutional amendment meaning there’s a base population in favor of that. In my personal opinion, it shows that the politicking of the People’s Initiative actually caused some serious damage when talking about Cha-Cha.

@jvejercito @justinmaniluh As for Economic Reform, you people in the Obstructionist House are also against too. Whose interests you people are really serving for, us poor Filipinos (whom many of us became Filipino Economic Refugees (ofw) in other countries) or those Oligarchs who’re against Free Market?

@jvejercito @justinmaniluh Even the RIGHT structure for Senate’s Electoral, i.e., “REGION-BASED Elected”, majority of you @jvejercito are AGAINST this most DEMOCRATIC electoral system for selecting members of the Obstructionist House. WHY? Bcoz MAJORITY of you do NOT have your Regional Representation?!

Cielo Dino@CieloDino

@sotto_tito There may be a need for some amendments to our constitution but now is not the right time because many of us do not trust this govt, the people and the way they plan to amend it.

PI- the danger is not just abolishing the Senate, the after effect is that that assembly can abolish anything including the Supreme Court!

@sotto_tito Because once it has been acted favorably or settled by the concern institution, all the subsequent contentious issues and doubts as to the revisions or amendments of a pertinent provisions in the 1987 Constitution will now be put to rest. That’s precisely why we need to fix it!
