Game adaptations that aim to evoke the feeling of a game rather than just trying to be a game are always one step ahead bro this adaptation concept is more interesting than seeing a 30 year old story told many times before as live action and mostly in a much worse form

The similarities between Pulse (2001) and Obsession (2026) are clear as day. “Death Is Eternal Loneliness” is a line from Pulse and comparing it to Nikki feels surreal. Real Nikki feeling alone in her own body, her own friends not helping her, trapped in her own body. She was dead the moment the willow branch broke. Ambrosia tweeting about Pulse and that one picture comparing it to Nikki from Obsession put Pulse on my radar. After seeing Pulse today, it made me love this film even more. From the eerie atmosphere to the movements to the score. The use of shadows throughout this film is truly one of my favorite all time visual. So damn good.

@LoonieLunas I have to rewatch it again to count how many times it happens. And what causes it. Cuz yeah obssszed Nikki would get mad and then snap to show true Nikki.

@RoninNiko right before this is wish nikki having a meltdown over not being able be he what bear wants, so i wonder if (at least in this moment) real nikki was able to come to the surface while the wish was in a weakened state due to being so upset?

i need to rewatch (again) so bad because i wanna see if i can figure out if it’s real nikki gaining control and making her run at bear for that split second, or wish nikki just being ooky spooky for a laugh 😭

OBSESSION SPOILERS But I need Men to see Nikki screaming in the credits as the horror women victims face. Bear dies & is free from the pain while Nikki is left with it. shows how men who've done these evil acts can face no consequences while women are haunted by it forever

@zoeyduatch I felt like her face transformed. Into someone else. It also matched her voice changing too. This was so good and subtle. The shadow plays made it EXTRA creepy. I love this movie.
