Thank you so much to everyone new here. I'm overwhelmed with the amount of attention some of my paintings are getting, so please be patient with me. Thank you again <3
love this scene and the tao te ching chapter 76 quote in it:
A man is born gentle and weak.
At his death he is hard and stiff.
Green plants are tender and filled with sap.
At their death they are withered and dry.
Therefore the stiff and unbending is the disciple of death.
The gentle and yielding is the disciple of life.
Thus an army without flexibility never wins a battle.
A tree that is unbending is easily broken.
The hard and strong will fall.
The soft and weak will overcome.
It’s so funny to me which of my paintings pop off. Granted, this is a much less popular movie, but I’m like “guys look at how I was able to use the white of the paper as highlights in his face 😭😭” watercolorists will understand LOL
@flatblackwindow You’re so talented!!!! I just looked through your movie section on your portfolio and I am obsessed with your selections! So excited to see what else you make :)
@HorrorPaperback Honestly, me too! This whole series of studies was an experiment for me. I knew if I did a bunch at once, at least a few would turn out interesting!
