With regard to "Judeo Christian": The 10 Commandments are Jewish. The great stories of the Old Testament are Jewish. The Jews developed the idea of subsidiarity as the alternative to tyranny and slavery. The Jews established the cultural preconditions for the rise of universal literacy. The fate of Israel at the hands of the Islamists is the fate of the West. This rising tide of anti-semitism sickens me. Those of you engaging in it for your oh-so-moral reasons—you're despicable. And remember, you proud "Christians" objecting in all your purity to the term: Christ Himself was a Jew.
Wes Huff@WesleyLHuff

So much noise online regarding the term "judeo-Christian." Guys -- in academia it's simply the term that describes the combined corpus of Old and New Testaments. The Jewish heritage of the Hebrew scriptures combined with the New Testament. That's it. I know you want there to be some conspiracy but there isnt, that's the way we're using it. It has nothing to do with geo-politics or a one world order.

@Notaspud_ @wznkm @eurofounder @CaneTigger Promptly? Is the order correct? Is the atmosphere pleasant? If you need something, does the waiter respond promptly? Or do you have to wait 45 minutes to get Parmesan for your pasta dumped onto your table like you’ve inconvenienced them by asking? I like American service

Europeans - here is how to avoiding tipping in the US without making waiters angry 1. Create a disposable virtual debit card (like Revolut) 2. When the bill comes, you usually pay for the meal first. Use that card to pay for it 3. Immediately after paying, delete your disposable card 4. Then comes the tip. Put 20% to make these losers happy and leave the restaurant 5. Waiter will try to charge your card for the 20% tip, but it's not going to work - the card is deleted already 6. Enjoy the meal without an uncomfortable interaction with the waiter This is a simple European trick to not lose money in American restaurants

@eurofounder @CaneTigger Is it hard to understand that if the waiters weren’t paid through tips, you’d pay more for the food? The tipping system just makes the amount they earn dependent on the quality of service - it’s not “extra,” just structured differently. But I assume you’re trolling.

A foreigner blocks the road in San Benedetto del Tronto in Italy. Giuseppe walks up to him, trying to convince him to get off the road. As the man refuses, Giuseppe finishes his ice cream before removing the man from the street by force. Giuseppe is running for Mayor of San Benedetto del Tronto this year and is in the middle of his electoral campaign. It’s unclear whether he will rise or fall in opinion polls after this incident.

Swiss “justice”: Muslim teen stabs Orthodox Jew 17 times near synagogue, screams ‘Allahu Akbar’, livestreams it, pledged to ISIS, planned to slaughter as many Jews as possible. Sentence? ONE YEAR suspended, with therapy, of course. ‘Killing Jews because they are Jews is unscrupulous’ — but not worth real punishment? Europe is surrendering its Jews. Again.

Am I wrong for going off on my fiancé after he returned my wedding dress without asking me? Me (29F) and my fiancé (33M) are getting married soon. Wedding planning has been mostly fine except he's picked fights over the venue and the flower girl. Now it's my wedding dress. Ever since I was little I dreamed of having my own beautiful wedding dress. I can afford it. My fiancé thinks it's stupid to waste a couple thousand on a dress I'll wear once. He might have a point, but this is a typical price for wedding dresses, and if it's once in a lifetime, why not make it special? He wouldn't drop it. Suggested I rent a dress instead. Started calling me irresponsible with money. Brought up how much I've put aside to "rent a face" — his charming little phrase for makeup. And "fake hair" — his words for extensions. I have a vision for how I want to look on my wedding day. I thought that was my right as the bride. I went ahead and bought the dress with my own money. The next day it was gone from my closet. I panicked. He told me calmly that he returned it and got the refund. I was in shock. Asked him why. He said the dress was ridiculously expensive, I was wasting money, and once again demanded I go rent one. I lost it. Went off on him. I've never yelled at him like that before. He took a step back and told me to calm down like I was being hysterical. Said he had every right because there's no such thing as "I'm paying for it myself" in marriage. Said my attitude is setting the tone for what kind of wife I'll be — expecting him to pay for everything while I keep "my money" to myself and spend it irresponsibly. I have never once told him how to spend his money. I told him he gets zero say in how I spend mine. He told me to grow the f up and stop with the "dream wedding dress" clichè. Then he stormed off to call his mommy. His mom called me right after and chewed me out. Said she won't let me ruin her son's financial stability with my reckless spending. She demanded I rent a dress or buy a much cheaper one and "move on." I said no. Now he's holding the refund hostage. Says he'll give me the money back once we "agree to a solution." Meaning once I do it his way. Am I wrong for thinking this isn't about a dress anymore — it's about control?
