The JKUAT Small Animal Facility for Research and Innovation (SAFARI) held a 2-day Laboratory Animal Handling and Care for Research Workshop on 16th and 17th April. The training, led by Dr. Amos Mbugua, who chairs the Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) as well as the JKUAT Ethics Review Committee (ERC), also included other trainers. Among them were Dr. John Kagira (Dean, School of Animal Sciences and Natural Resources), Prof. Mutinda Kyama (MLS), and Mr. Thomas Adino (Institute of Biotechnology Research). The trainees, who included participants from KEMRI, KIPPRE, PAUSTI and JKUAT, received certificates after the training. ^DP
