I've been quiet on here. Not because I ran out of things to say. Because my grandson is still fighting. My wife slept in airport chairs to get to him. I almost quit everything two weeks ago. Last night my pastor was teaching John 15. The vine and the branches. He said something that hit me in the chest. "There's great peace when you stop trying to do God's part." I spent years working 2-3 jobs. Security. DoorDash. Garbage routes. 70 hours a week. I told myself I was providing. That my family would understand when they got older. They got older. And the chairs got empty. I wasn't building wrong. I was building alone. Trying to be the vine when God made me a branch. A branch has one job. Bear fruit. Not manufacture it. Not force it.
