If he took a beating, and or was actually struck, attacked. Ok.
If not, then maybe we should stop throwing around exaggerated accusations.
I come from a land saturated with loud mouthed women, and I'm thus biased towards literal definitions of words describing violence.
I don't know what happened, and a cursory search gave no actual information on what "get physical " actually refers to in this context.
