The Giants had no power over what the A's did or didn't do in Oakland/Fremont/Laney College/Coliseum/Howard Terminal. That was just John Fisher flailing. SFGs did have territorial rights over San Jose. And used them. Cold business, but business.

Pretty good overview of the A’s debacle, despite the pronunciation of “Nevada” and “Bally’s.” Billion dollar budget shortfall aside, John Fisher isn’t someone baseball fans in Las Vegas should be rooting for.
