@mattyboar81 @GlupeusMaximus @TonyMunday1968 He made a very good point up until the last sentence. To win there domestic league and then follow it up and win a competition with other European teams who won there leagues makes them world class

I’m gonna solve football. How about the champions of each top division all into a competition just for champions and we call it the European cup. The cup winners from each league go into a competition called the cup winners cup. 2nd 3rd and 4th go into a competition called the uefa cup. In division 2 we have a new play off format where the 24 teams all play each other home and away and the 3 teams with the most points get promoted and the 3 teams with the least points get relegated. I think this may take off #millwall #EFL @secondtierpod

@chuckdavie @OptaJoe 14 fouls isn't excessive, it's slightly above average. I don't think it was Brighton brutally hacking down your players all night that caused this

@OptaJoe What a pointless stat. Brighton fouled us 14 times, why should Arsenal be penalised for having to take freekicks all night because the team with the most yellow cards (72) in the Premier League wants to break up play constantly?

30 - Arsenal took 30 minutes and 51 seconds to restart play against Brighton last night, their highest total in a Premier League match this season. Delayed.

@gorbalsboy67 @HitTheByline Nah, he has some blame in the first goal, but getting played into trouble on the edge of his box is far more on McGregor. He could have attacked the ball a bit better on the cross, same as the second goal he didn't expect Chermiti to have such long legs

@HitTheByline Actually thought he had a decent game apart from the 2nd goal, Araujo is getting praise from most when he has to take some blame for both goals. Lost the ball in corner for 1st and should’ve shielded the ball better at 2nd, like Murray though he still had a decent game

I’m gonna say something that I’m sure people are gonna have a very loud opinion on. I thought Dane Murray was very good again today. Yes he made a big mistake which he really needs to cut out of his game if he’s going to make it. Good with the ball at his feet, utterly dominant in the air, winning 17/21 aerial duels.
Hit The Byline - Analysis@HitTheByline

After having some moments to forget in a Celtic jersey, tonight was a massive performance for Dane Murray. Incredibly solid at the back with Trusty beside him. He had a couple of moments where he lost track of the defensive line, but other than that I can’t fault him. Hopefully this kicks him on a bit and gives him some momentum.

Except there is because there are car by car level regulations in a lot of countries. Now wherein if you are producing too much emissions, even from a fucking race car that vehicle can be banned from racing. But since we have carbon neutral fuel now, emissions are net zero. The FIA also does not control the logistics companies. Nor do they control the DHL planes that are shipping their shit around the world. They are doing as much as they can to fix the sports emissions with the tools that they have. They have already moved certain races around to make it more efficient. The issue is they are contractually obligated for a lot of these race. Venues to put them in specific areas. And during specific times Like me personally. I think both Miami and Canada could be put in late September Early October. And yet, because of prior management, they were both offered contracts that put them in May. Or in Miami's case, we already have a contract that says we need to be in America In May, we might as well put Miami there When it's sunny out. Like, I understand the concern, but what is F1 supposed to do? They can't cancel contracts or else they'll get sued, and those contracts are with the shipping companies as well. It's not just trackside and local governments. So rearrange the calendar that you can, try to make the teams reduce their emission locally. Encourage them to fly altogether either on a private plane or via first or buisness class jets They also legally can't stop the very rich people who they employ from using their own private jets. And that way you shouldn't include those emissions in F1. You should only include it on that specific person. Like Max, not flying with his team to and from races. And instead, using his own private jet, that's on him not on F1 Like from a practical perspective. F1 is doing literally everything they physically can to reduce their own emissions and getting mad at them for their logistics, and their transportation still being so high is stupid. When that's an industry problem, not a formula. One management problem.

I’m a defender of the chassis/aero regs of the 2026 cars - but I have always thought the 2026 PU’s are heavily constraining what could’ve been an incredible product. The 2026 cars with 2025 PU’s - lighter, more nimble, more drivable cars are a perfect match. But F1 have done all of this just to please Audi, who will inevitably be irrelevant in F1 trundling around the midfield. I do agree that all of this was not worth it.
Daniel Valente 🏎️@F1GuyDan

So after 2 days of testing in Bahrain, we've had the two most decorated champions on the grid criticize the new regs & cars. Lewis Hamilton calling them "ridiculously complex" & that fans won't understand. Max Verstappen saying its Formula E on steroids & "anti-racing." Yikes

@thescaredman @CWallace51_ @cfc1888_ @broomhilldons Murray is going straight back to cover the space because Trusty is there, and can change his angle and keep his speed up to get across. Kabore has to gather the ball and turn towards goal. I think that gives enough doubt but... I am biased and Hearts did deserve the point

@RoryODed @CWallace51_ @cfc1888_ @broomhilldons The balls slowing down and unless Murray is usian bolt he isn’t making up 15 yards on him and in the video and in the still images, he’s actually running straight back and not at an angle either! Was poor defensively from celtic, that’s who you should be annoyed at

I’m confused. There was a defender ahead of Trusty & the hearts player meaning it’s not last man. The ball is going away from goal, can someone explain to me how that is a red card? 😂

@CWallace51_ @cfc1888_ @broomhilldons Because of the angle of travel of the ball, Murray probably gets across to cover before Kabore collects the ball and turns towards goal. Therefore not a 'clear' goalscoring opportunity

@cfc1888_ @broomhilldons Well if you can point me towards the "last man" rule being an actual thing then fair play, but you'll find it's "denial of a goal scoring opportunity" which is exactly what it is.

Wee reminder that Celtic were three points behind Hearts at the top of the table when this goal was scored. And look at the poison coming from them. The last 12 years has destroyed their ability to deal with even the mildest level of competition.

@oshosidhant Forget about theory and philosophy of the sport, for a moment. Even the most basic criteria, fixing the dimensions of the arena the sport is played is undefined in Cricket !! Sizes of the playing surface vary all over the world. When is a six a six ??!?😄

Cricket Is an Inexact Sport In Football, a goal is a goal. In Tennis, a game point is a game point. In sprints, one microsecond is one microsecond. Once a goal is scored or a foul is done - the argument ends. The scoreboard becomes paramount. Football, tennis, athletics - these are sports of rules. Technology in these sports exists to erase ambiguity in decision making: Hawk-Eye, goal-line technology, photo finish technology. The purpose of technology is not interpretation but verification. The rules are executable. Cricket actively resists finality. Cricket is, by design, an inexact sport. From its very grammar, its history, cricket embodies a different philosophy. It does not speak of rules. It speaks of laws - codified by the Marylebone Cricket Club since the 18th century. Rules demand obedience whereas laws require judgment. Rules assume uniformity but laws take context into account. Cricket can not be played without context. Context of time, of place, of intent and of decaying pitch. Remove context, and cricket collapses into an unrecognisable game. 1/n

Nope, it’s an entertainment product manufactured and sold to generate revenue, to customers who voluntarily decide they want to purchase the product, in a market that determines if the product is worth the price. Doesn’t mean the product can’t be deeply emotional and personal.
