Inter Miami spokesperson provides an update on this: Rodrigo De Paul suffered a “muscular contusion” (bruise) in his left leg in the 1-1 draw with Nashville SC. He is OUT for tomorrow’s road game vs New York City FC as a “precaution.” #InterMiamiCF #Messi

Fairs to Messi though — he made Mascherano look like a decent coach and had us believing we had a shot at the Concacaf Champions Cup.

@FrancoPanizo @FrancoPanizo I think he played well last night- he delivered stellar balls to allende and berte, who missed both chances Miami players would've converted in '25. Bad management from Masche

What's the biggest "What If" you've ever seen in football?

🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪: A breakdown of what happened with the Finalissima: • It was due to be played in Qatar on 27 March, but was cancelled there due to the war • 10 days ago, UEFA proposed to the Argentina/CONMEBOL that the Finalissima be played in Spain at the Santiago Bernabéu; 50% of the tickets would go to Spain and 50% to Argentina • UEFA had the right to commercialise the match but failed to inform either CONMEBOL or Argentina of the agreement it had reached with Spain, a move that did not go down well with CONMEBOL and Argentina • CONMEBOL and Argentina only found out about this decision when UEFA issued a public statement; the CONMEBOL President was furious and flew to Argentina to meet with the AFA President • Following the meeting, the counter-offers began. Argentina informed UEFA that under NO circumstances would they play an away match in Spain, as they did not want that venue, but CONMEBOL and Argentina proposed the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy • CONMEBOL/Argentina's counter-offer also included a new date: not March 27, but March 31, because Argentina’s second friendly match against Qatar in Qatar on that day (March 31) had been suspended • Argentina preferred to have more days of training and then play on the 31st • UEFA replied that they had already booked the Santiago Bernabéu and that it was difficult to book another stadium, but they agreed to play in Rome, though on March 27, not the 31st • Argentina/CONMEBOL insisted on playing on March 31, and UEFA, a day later, without informing to Argentina/CONMEBOL, issued a public statement saying that the Finalissima had been CANCELLED due to a lack of willingness on the part of Argentina/CONMEBOL • Argentina/CONMEBOL had never been informed privately beforehand on both decisions, as UEFA handled everything through public statements, which annoyed CONMEBOL and Argentina — @gastonedul
