Starting to hear increasingly about pollination issues this year. Doesn't fit with the weather pattern we've seen in my opinion. Those who have pollinated, check your fields and let us know. Is this isolated or widespread? #corn #oatt

Some random info for the day………. In 1980 the total $ valuation of USA produced #corn #soybean and #wheat was 18% of the valuation of the top 10 companies in the USA……… Today it is 0.6% of top 10 companies valuation!

Before I dry and shell it, I'm estimating: 45% moisture (high estimate) Cob is 30% of wet weight (high estimate) Population: 36k (lower than actual) With those numbers, what yield does this ear represent at 15.5% moisture? I'll follow up with actual numbers once I've dried and weighed it.

@jasonmauck1 Interesting question, I think where conditions are dry it is delaying maturity which is buying time but overall the smoke is a negative. #seedorientation plot 2.0 This was such a neat way to show the importance of canopy closure last yr that we planted another one. And yes, @PioneerSeeds corn leaves still orientate in direction of germ.
