Honest take: he's romanticised more than he's analysed. PFA Player of the Year once. Never close to a Ballon d'Or. Missed the 1999 Champions League final for a reckless yellow. Elite captain on a stacked squad - yes. The untouchable midfield god people pretend he was? No. Vieira matched him. Zidane was above him. Scholes outlasted him at the same club. Ferguson built that 17-trophy era. Ferguson is also the one who walked Keane out the door in 2005 for the exact behaviour he still trades on today. If the man who made him a legend wouldn't tolerate it, the 'legend' card doesn't shield him from us either.

You people are free to say whatever you like about Roy Keane but don’t try to downplay his contribution to Manchester United history because of what he said as a pundit , 17 trophies for Manchester United isn’t fluke ,this is a Manchester United legend 👍🏻

So basically every single thing he does is now turned into a political headline as if Zimbabwe has no other issues to discuss. A private domestic matter was quickly exaggerated into a crisis in the President’s office simply because people are uncomfortable with his success, influence and proximity to powerful circles. What many critics fail to understand is that being associated with the President does not mean every personal issue suddenly becomes a State matter. Wicknell is a businessman and a public figure, naturally his life will attract attention, but some people are clearly pushing an agenda to portray him as some kind of national problem. And let’s be honest, if @wicknellchivayo was in the country he most likely would’ve attended alongside the President as he normally does at high profile events. The man is currently in Seychelles enjoying his holiday, yet people are still losing sleep over him from back home 😭 No matter how many negative articles are written, one thing remains true, his presence, lifestyle and influence continue to dominate conversations every single day. Love him or hate him, people simply cannot ignore him

This personal legal battle has quickly transitioned into a public debate, with observers questioning the ex-convict’s conduct given his high-profile links to Mnangagwa. Chivayo has frequently appeared at public events alongside the president, most notably as part of a select group of businesspeople at Mnangagwa’s Precabe Farm during a visit from South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. The South African leader’s visit was itself overshadowed by controversy when Ramaphosa’s office was forced to issue a clarifying statement. The South African presidency indicated that Ramaphosa was entirely unaware of the businessman—whose net worth is estimated to reach billions of US dollars—despite Chivayo’s claims of proximity. This international awkwardness was compounded by allegations that Chivayo’s mother-in-law Tabitha Madzikanda used artificial intelligence to forge images of the businessman with Ramaphosa. The domestic charges filed by Chivayo, which led to the arrests of his ex-wife Sonja and mother-in-law, were based on accusations of cyberbullying and the unauthorised distribution of content. While Chivayo eventually dropped the charges, citing the well-being and interests of his children, the withdrawal failed to calm the waters. The incident had already attracted significant scrutiny, prompting former Norton MP Themba Mliswa to release several scathing audio recordings attacking the tendepreneur. In these recordings, Mliswa rebuked Chivayo, asserting that his perceived closeness to Mnangagwa should not be used as a shield for personal vendettas. Mliswa argued that domestic issues should be handled privately rather than through the arrest of the mother of Chivayo's children. He warned Chivayo that he was "digging his own pit" and potentially damaging the reputation of the president. Mliswa told The Standard that proximity to power requireda level of respectability and restraint, rather than the "overly excited" behavior Chivayo has recently displayed. He said those associated with the president should defend the office rather than abuse their access for personal wars. “He has to have decorum. He needs to understand that his closeness to the president requires him to be respectable and no get overly excited,” Mliswa said. “If you want to stand with him, you have to defend him not to abuse him. It is important that if you are associated with such, some of these wars are not worth fighting.” Ricky Mukonza, a professor at the Tshwane University of Technology in South Africa, said the problem was exacerbated by the president’s own silence. Mukonza said Chivayo frequently posts photos from within the president’s inner circle, and the lack of a public rebuke or dissociation from the presidency is often interpreted by the public as a "tacit endorsement. In the public imagination, Chivayo is seen as an extension of the president himself. This perception is reinforced by Chivayo’s "Father Christmas" persona, where he frequently makes lavish donations of cash and luxury cars. Many assume these funds originate from the president, further blurring the lines between private wealth and state influence. Mukonza warned that from a public administration perspective, this conflation is dangerous. Any "acts of excess" or perceived wrongdoings by Chivayo are naturally transferred to the President’s reputation because Mnangagwa has never publicly stated that Chivayo’s actions have nothing to do with him. The Truth About the Tagwirei Wedding: Private Wealth is a Global Norm, Not a Crime There is a heated debate on this platform regarding the recent Tagwirei family wedding, with critics claiming that a $20 million USD celebration is proof of state money being misused. This argument is completely flawed and ignores how global wealth actually works. Spending millions on a family wedding is standard practice for billionaires worldwide. It is funded by private business success, not public tax money. To put things into perspective, look at these global examples: 🔸️The Ambani Wedding (India): Cost an estimated $600 million USD, funded entirely by Asia’s richest businessman for his son. 🔸️The Gutseriev Wedding (Russia): Cost $1 billion USD, paid for by a private billionaire tycoon. 🔸️The Mittal Wedding (France/India): Cost over $60 million USD, funded by a global steel magnate for his daughter. When wealthy families in Europe, Asia, or America spend this kind of money, the world recognizes it as a private reward for massive commercial success. However, when it happens in Zimbabwe, critics immediately call it "laundering" and label successful people as "Zvigananda" who steal from the public. We must learn to separate the state's budget from private corporate wealth. A $20 million USD wedding is fully within the reach of a major private enterprise. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a successful family celebrating a milestone using their own legitimately earned resources. It happens everywhere across the globe, and Zimbabwe is no exception. Musaise Politics pasipo nekushandisa maFeelings. Munhu aida kubvisa chipo chaanoda kuneVachati vaitenderwa. Zvakaitwa zvakaitwa vanhu vakabvisa zvipo zvawo. PROF. JONATHAN MOYO 🔥🔥🔥 #CAB3 is a power consolidation strategy by CRIMINALS in suits through which they seek to give themselves a new mandate to protect their ill-gotten wealth. Bill No.3 must be resisted by all means possible.

If the Tagwirei wedding and the splashing of dollars and land does not make you angry then you are not paying attention. The CAB3 wedding was a display of hyper looting. Don't you dare scream 'takarwa hondo' because it was for nothing. We have to act and claim our country back!

🔹The passing of political activist and Labour Economists and African Democrats (LEAD) leader Linda Masarira has reignited a polarising debate across Zimbabwe’s political spectrum. Critics have rushed to brand her a “sellout “ and collaborator with the ZANUPF during the latter half of her career. However, this surface-level vilification ignores a deeper, more troubling systemic reality. Linda Masarira was fundamentally a victim of state brutality, and the shifts in her political behavior must be analysed as a survival response to structural trauma and institutional failure. 🔸 Masarira’s early political career was defined by fierce, uncompromising human rights activism. Her boldness made her a primary target of the state, resulting in a brutal stint of imprisonment in 2016. In jail, she faced the terrifying isolation of a system designed to crush human dissent. 🔹When she emerged, her trajectory shifted dramatically from active resistance to accommodating the system. This transformation was driven by two distinct forces: 1. The Trauma of Survival~ Adapting to and defending the regime became a defense mechanism ,a way to guarantee personal safety after realising the state's capacity for violence. 2. Abandonment by the Opposition~ While she languished in prison, the mainstream opposition failed to offer her adequate solidarity or tangible support. Her subsequent political realignment was fueled by a legitimate sense of betrayal by those she had risked her freedom to serve. 🔸 Attacking Masarira in death is cheap, hypocritical, and strategically impotent. It directs collective anger at a casualty of the system rather than the system itself. Expecting a single, traumatised individual to act as a perpetual martyr, while the broader public and political leadership remain comfortably SILENT,is a severe moral double standard. To blame the victim for being broken by the machine is to ignore the terrifying power of the machine itself. 🔹 The hypocrisy of her critics is laid bare by the current battle over Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 #CAB3. This highly contentious legislation seeks to strip away democratic safeguards by extending presidential and parliamentary terms to seven years. 🔸While certain voices waste energy denouncing a deceased activist, a massive portion of the current opposition leadership has maintained a cowardly, complicit silence on #CAB3. This silence is a far greater betrayal of the democratic struggle than Masarira's public shifts. Leaders who refuse to confront the regime on defining issues like #CAB3 are effectively selling out the future of the nation. 🔹 You cannot genuinely fight an oppressive system by attacking those it has managed to break. The focus must shift away from personal condemnation and toward holding sitting political leaders accountable for their silence. Until the opposition leadership finds the courage to confront the institutional beast directly, attacking the memory of Linda Masarira is nothing more than a distraction from collective political failure. RIP Linda Masarira 🙏🏽 Abasha 2030 ! Long Live Our Democracy! Long Live Our Constitution! Abasha Zvigananda!
