@listanalyser @FootyIsMyJam That's my concern with the rule shifts toward a transition game: they advantage good sides - who don't really need it, because they'll be good anyway - and have removed a lot of the tools a bottom 6 side has to control the game so they get blown out.

I dunno what it is.. The shit fixturing, the Training drill method of Modern footy or the fact it’s still March.. Feels like Summer league basketball atm. Footy just ain’t hitting the spot at the moment like it used to. Great chance it’s just me.. but I miss the games Spark.

@Rossitron1 I think the small margins play a part in any close game. Whoever makes the most of their chances will win. We probably have a renewed belief also.

Another great sign from the weekend was the fact we won a close one. Last year we couldn’t get over the line in those ones. Also there may have been some mental scars from last years Saints debacle. Seems the club has really reset.

@Markm106 We were 1-5 and they were 5-1 in close ones last year. They're now on the wrong side of a couple of close ones whilst being an objectively better team. Regression to the mean.

@Markm106 I'm very much from the fine margins school on this. Harry Sharp doesn't win an aerial contest against a bloke 6 inches taller than him then run into an open goal and they don't fluff a couple of gilt-edges chances late and it goes the other way.
