@RotaryPete @OutofSpecDetail @HisandHersEV Yeah, and even Tesla has admitted that sometimes they did not make the right choice, and they brought back turn signal stalks. I was always using the most current version of FSD available.

Hot Take: most people don’t actually want FSD, all people really want is a great highway drive assist. We just did 1000 miles in our EV9 yesterday using Kia’s HDA 2 for 95% of the interstate driving. It’s so nice to be able to control the exact speed I want to go, follow in a distance I want to follow, and be in the lane I want to be in without an arbitrary profile telling me what it wants to do.

The point about the keyboard is everyone will look back and clearly see that it was not the best way forward.

@RotaryPete @OutofSpecDetail @HisandHersEV LOL, in my experience, FSD has missed freeway exits and interchanges on multiple occasions. Physical keyboard is bad comparison. Touch screen is still doing what YOU control it to, not dictating who you want to call or text, or how loud you want your volume to be.

@OutofSpecDetail Not a hot take. I was fine with my old HDA2 on my Ioniq 5, and I do love FSD. However, the speed/distance/lane is a thing. FSD and construction zones seem to go together like oil and water. @Tesla - I'm OK making speed & distance decisions. Let me please.

Most people these days never learn how to drive manual. It takes real timing and coordination to get the clutch and gas right, especially when you’re just trying to have fun and sing along.
