@nikkharris He literally said it was the standard and there was a premium and a performance model. As I said again, the base model is a terrible way to get your first taste of the Model Y refresh. It feels like things went backwards…

@OutofSpecDetail i’d probably have not thought much of it if it was really a review of the standard, and to be fair he did mention it’s the standard. but it was more of a general model y review and all of the negatives he brought up were because of how stripped down it was

i honestly don't know how doug demuro could botch the model y review as badly as he did
if your takeaway is that the new model y has much worse quality than the legacy version i'm going to have a hard time trusting any of your other reviews

@OutofSpecDetail @nikkharris Reviewing a model Y without even mentioning FSD is crazy. Especially from Doug demuro, the quirks and features guy. You’ll spend a minute talking about a vacuum in a van but not even mention that a car can drive itself 99.9% of the time?

My buddy has a quad motor Rivian and has been driving us around for a few days (including showing us launch mode)
My kid calls it “cool car” and gets mad when we have to take the rental anywhere.

In the same way that I fly through turbulence or take a cruise through a storm. I seriously just sit and daydream all the way through a traffic jam or drink my coffee or pet my dog or I’ve got a book on Audible. It’s so much better than road raging or gas brake gas brake gas brake gas brake. Seriously fuck driving.
