Every once in a while you have to stand up for yourself even if it makes you look weak and cringe to care, but this persons critique boiled down to “you talked about something right wing accounts talked about therefore you are evil” with plenty of other crap thrown in. It’s lazy to just separate people into “good” and “bad” camps. I shouldn’t do it, it’s embarrassing, but sometimes you just have to. Not to mention this person manages to throw in “klan,” “Thiel,” and worst of all “stand up comedian” accusations

I don’t know why I get so much hate on here. I certainly used to troll and be mean years and years ago but for a long time now I’ve tried to do my little jokes and cultural analysis and people still get insanely cruel. I’d never attack someone’s character based on their Twitter at this point but I will say people really show who they are when they do that.

I would make the trite observation that they have a thought process similar to the most uneducated religious fervor, but I think there is more.

"As long as you don't hurt anybody, it's ok" and "everyone is entitled to respect and rights"
Rejection of immutable characteristics like race and sexuality are anathema. Politics and religion are, of course, a choice.

I used to be entirely in the camp that said you should kick your kids out at 18 and force them to live independently and make their own way in the world. I don’t feel that way at all anymore. I want all my kids to live with us until they get married. Even after they’re married, if they want to live on our property, or close by, my wife and I would love that. The important thing is to teach your kids responsibility, which we’re doing. They need to contribute and help around the house, which all of our kids do from a very young age. Provided you aren’t raising ungrateful useless moochers, why kick them out? Why drive them away from your family home? I don’t see the point in it anymore. I actually like my kids and like being around them. Maybe they’ll all end up scattered to the wind. But I’d prefer to keep the family together. Why wouldn’t I?
