I bought a brand-new MTN SIM yesterday and to my shock, I started receiving UBA debit alerts. Let me be very clear: I don’t bank with UBA. A few minutes later, it hit me. I was sold someone else’s line. This morning, the actual owner made another transaction… and yes, another debit alert entered my phone. How is this even possible? You buy a “new” SIM and inherit someone’s bank alerts, financial history, and privacy risks? This isn’t just strange, it’s dangerous.

@Olami_deeEbony If you lost your bank card used for NETFLIX sub, and you did not go to the bank to block it or cancel your sub from the App. Monthly deductions will keep running. Since you are the new sim owner, go to neareat UBA and stop the alert. It won't take 5min or call the C care line.

@Omoiyanurse5 @Olami_deeEbony When the SIM was being registered to receive alert, did the person go to MTN to register the SIM for alert? Absolutely no. So, the right thing to do is you go to the bank where the alert emanates and lodge a complaint. MTN has nothing to do in this matter. Hope this helps?
