@edgaralandough I see this opinion all the time and I hear you, but I’d just like to say that as a kid I absolutely loved cheap plastic junk. The stupid party favors and stocking/Easter basket stuff? Loved it. I wasn’t into candy very much; I preferred the little toys.

The older I get the more I hate overconsumption. Your kid doesn’t need an Easter basket full of plastic junk that is going to end up in a landfill. As much as I hate the “back in my day” trope, it applies here. When I was a kid, all we got for Easter was chocolate. Why do we need to buy so much stuff for each holiday?

does anyone have any low cost enrichment ideas? i live in a relatively small apartment and im fairly busy (graduate school) but apricot jam is so bored and it makes me so sad

🚨 SF BAY AREA it makes me very sad that we still have 8 perfect, healthy big kittens growing up mostly in an enclosure here at the rescue. They should be cuddling on someone's lap, zooming around, being happy babies. Soon they'll be a year old and still sitting here, waiting 💔

@VeryBadLlama So here’s the problem. I know what nitrogen fixing means, and I have hundreds of insanely heavily armed rednecks around me who will be desperate long about the time I’m merely uncomfortable. How exactly am I supposed to be a one man army against that?

I feel like dentists should explain that if you dont floss the food inbetween your teeth is just sitting there rotting in your mouth, like a trashcan sitting out on a hot humid day, maybe then people would floss everyday or at least more
