I’ll never agree with doing a defensive substitution at first base to take your best bat out of the game. Now you’re playing extras without your best bat in the lineup. First base is one of the easiest positions to play. Sal has been fine there. Don’t get it.

@ChickLudwig @Reds A lot of people say LF. Well he was -5 lf but he was a 6 plus 1st baseman defensively! Sal is 0 1st base, Lowe is -7 at first and I don’t think Gino has ever played 1st so he is just new! So we get massively weaker defensively!

Sal Stewart is working at 1B for the @Reds. Eugenio Suarez is the first player on the field every day at Spring Training, practicing at 1B. And I wonder what's happened to my favorite player, Spencer Steer, and why the Reds have kicked him to the curb.

Luis Arraez signing for $12M and Geno getting $15M the next day still doesn’t feel like real life. Literally no risk attached to a guy who just hit 49 HRs in a season.
