@FarmerFrances1 I’m very reluctant to be a cheerleader for anyone but my sense is they are making a decent fist of it from what I’ve seen. I’m away on holiday so not fully engaged but note that all parties deny most of the claims in a US showbiz hit piece.

Harry and Meghan are working on five projects with Netflix and others with rival streamers and TV channels. There’s no doubt they’ve suffered some setbacks but, six years after their “freedom flight”, they do seem to be making it work for themselves. inews.co.uk/news/royals-tu…

@PatriciaTreble I found it a very confusing piece, Patrica, with Netflix and others denying many of the claims. They only have two projects that the Sussexes are working on with Netflix ( two more than many people thought) but my understanding is there are currently five projects.

@peterallenparis More the Siege of Orleans or the Battle of Castillon than Agincourt in the end, unfortunately. You’ll be drowning your sorrows in The Frog & Rosbif, Peter.

@Heather84A @cahalmilmo One question is what’s the point of the King going there and buttering Trump up, only for the US president to slag off Britain again a few days or weeks later? It’s important to recognise that jobs, security, and prosperity are at stake but what are the concrete benefits?
English

@RoyalReporter @cahalmilmo Would think it’d be more overshadowed by the mad lunatic running my country but 🤷🏻♀️ to be fair, for some unknown reason, he revers the BRF almost more than any other global figures, so perhaps Charles can talk some sense into him since no one else seems to be able to.

Two senior royal aides were in Washington last month to lay the ground work for a state visit by the King and Queen, which will probably go ahead in April despite fears it will be overshadowed by the Epstein scandal, @cahalmilmo writes.

English

@04nbod Well, have you read the piece? The idea that Netflix has ended all ties is nonsense. Five projects currently.
English

@RoyalReporter Are they? Netflix doesn't need to pick any of this up and there hasn't been a real success since their documentary on themselves
English

@AA_Burnett Um yeah, you don’t know what you’re talking about, Amy. That’s why I thought some of the lines in my piece were newsworthy. Harry and Meghan have done plenty that has created controversy but the idea that they are penniless or out of work is wishful thinking from their critics.
English

@RoyalReporter Umm so yea, Netflix just dumped them. 🤷🏻♀️
There are no “five projects”.
English

@persa78372 France, Norway, and Poland are also countries that spring to mind re action on Epstein. Keir Starmer is under fire for appointing an Epstein friend as ambassador to Washington but he’d be asking the King to honour a US president who himself faces accusations in the Epstein files.
English

@RoyalReporter Every country is dealing with tariffs and insults. UK seems to be the only other country that is holding men to account re: Epstein. The King’s visit should go ahead.
English

@Tetburyboy @cahalmilmo @CTurnerFCDO I don’t think the King (or HMG) and Trump see eye to eye on Ukraine or climate change among other things but they have been friends for a long time. You don’t have to agree with your friends on everything.
English

@RoyalReporter @cahalmilmo It's pathetic, isn't it?
Trump despises and insults Starmer, Charles cannot abide Trump, millions of Brits are opposed to this embarrassing fawning and grovelling which will damage the monarchy and serve only to burnish Trump's image ahead of the US Midterms.
