Kyiv this morning. Russia attacked all night. Shahed drones flying very low, explosions nonstop. The city is covered in thick smoke. Four killed, among them a 12-year-old boy. Dozens wounded, including rescuers who came to help.

Another night has proven that Russia does not deserve any easing of global policy or lifting of sanctions. Russia is betting on war, and the response must be exactly that: we must defend lives with all available means, and we must also apply pressure for the sake of peace with the same full force. I am grateful to those in the world who work with us in this way and who help Ukraine in a timely and comprehensive manner, fully aware that every act of support truly matters for saving lives. I thank Germany, Norway, and Italy, with whom we have already reached new agreements on supporting our air defense. We are working with the Netherlands on additional supplies. In the morning, I received a report from the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Nearly 700 Russian drones were launched over the previous day, into the evening, and throughout the night. There were also missiles – 19 ballistic ones, as well as cruise missiles during the night. Most of the ballistic missiles targeted Kyiv. 636 drones and some of the missiles were shot down. Unfortunately, not all. There were hits and damage to ordinary residential buildings. Tragically, there are fatalities in Odesa, Kyiv, and Dnipro. Among those killed is a boy – he was 12 years old. My condolences to the families and loved ones. As of now, 100 people are reported wounded as a result of this single massive Russian attack. There can be no normalization of Russia as it is today. Pressure on Russia must work. And it is important to fulfill every promise of assistance to Ukraine on time. There are many political commitments by partners that have already been announced but not yet implemented – including within the Ramstein format and on a bilateral basis. I have instructed the Commander of the Air Forces to contact those partners who earlier committed to providing missiles for Patriot and other systems. I expect a report on the results.

🔴 BREAKING: Overnight Russian missile attack on Ukraine killed at least five in Kyiv, including a child. 21 others were injured, including four first responders targeted in a double-tap strike, according to local authorities.

It fascinates me that anyone could look at this conflict and not admire Ukraine. They look at these two leaders, one who is innovating and fighting for his people...and one who is sitting in the Kremlin...and think "oh yes I admire the guy in the Kremlin relying on mercenaries hired from abroad....not the guy who innovates and resisted invasion." But then again...it's the same types apparently who looked at young and strong and inspiring Peter Magyar and thought "oh, yes superannuated Orban is better"....so it must just be a glitch....because no reasonable person would ever draw those conclusions.

The capabilities of Ukraine’s defense industry mean millions of FPV drones per year, our deep strikes, our interceptors, and millions of shells. Ukraine has its own long-range missile weapons. Not just in development, but a real force already at work. Flamingo and Ruta, Peklo and Neptune, Palianytsia and Vilkha – we can already be proud of all of this, but we will not stop here for sure. These are only our first steps – the industry will grow, and the enemy will feel it. Everyone sees the historic long-range reach of our drones – striking 1,750 kilometers from our border. There will be more. And this is not about records – it is about justice that will find evil anywhere in the world. And our Sichen, Liutyi, Morok, Bars, Obriy, and FP are proof of that. Among people Russia killed in Odesa tonight: a 30 year old woman and her 2.5 year old daughter. A 53 year old woman. Among the wounded: a pregnant woman, a 7 month old baby boy, and a 2 year old girl. This is Russia.
