So yeah, I think it's time... I've already been more than frustrated with the state of Twitter a while now... But it just keeps getting worse. So I'm trying to move everything over to Blusky instead.

@_BenjaminGreen I love not being able to discuss actual AI as a developer because the term is now worthless as it includes not AI like LLMs, ML, Algorithms, Templates, etc. I also love needing to quadruple check everything for genAI for moral, ethical, and potentially legal reasons. /s

@_BenjaminGreen That's an easy question! It doesn't, it makes it actively worse. Mass layoffs, exploding hardware prices, spiking power and water prices, enshitification of search, IDEs, OSs, games, etc. It's cost us is farther destabilizing the economy and severe and environmental harm.

Hey @beyerdynamic this is the face of a criminal. Our pup ate my pair of beloved DT 1990 Pro's. I bought replacement cables which have worked great but it seems my left driver wires to the speaker have snapped. Any chance you could help out a fan with some new drivers? ❤️

Then the chef confronted the influencer and said they weren't famous enough to eat free. It's like being offered a drink in exchange for feedback on it, then asked to pay after the fact.

A lot of issues with monopolies come from anticompetitive and anti consumer behavior. I'm convinced Steam is a monopoly for the sole reason it's been one of the only large game companies that tries to play fair/honest. GoG also plays nice which is part of why they've succeeded.

@Santoi5810 @IceSolst Fun fact, comic sans is actually a recommended and good font for accessibility purposes as it tends to be far more readable for people with Dyslexia (and similar) The switch to Calibri from Times New Roman and Arial was for the same reason, though not as effective as comic sans.

Distasteful AI generated graphics are everywhere, because they’re low effort to make (with a single-sentence prompt). Reminds me of 2000s WordArt, you’d see these everywhere, incl some restaurant menus, signs in bathrooms, CEO’s slide deck. Or how all photos looked like instagram filters. Most people will use the easiest tools at their disposal, by default. The easy tools you publish will set the bar for what low effort content is, which eventually becomes a sign of poor taste. Everything produced thats low effort is repulsive.

For what it's worth tech companies broadly speaking are very high mobility. It's very normal in tech to switch jobs every 3-5 years to pursue better / higher paying opportunities vs getting a ~5% annual raise. I do think that's a bad thing, but that's an industry wide problem.

There in a condition known as Capgras syndrome where basically you believe someone familiar has been replaced by an impostor. With GenAI, bots, etc creating the Dead Internet Theory it sometimes feels like we're weirdly trying to actualize that at scale online.
