We say “Achilles’ heel” today to mean a small weakness in an otherwise strong person or thing. But in Greek mythology it came from a hero whose body was almost invisible except for one spot, his heel. Walk with me: Achilles was the son of Peleus, a mortal king, and Thetis, a sea goddess.A prophecy said he would either live a long, quiet life or die young but achieve eternal glory. Thetis tried to protect her son by dipping him into the River Styx, the mystical river of the Underworld, which made him invulnerable. But she held him by the heel, the waters never touched that part of his body. As a young man, Achilles joined the Greeks in the Trojan War. He became their strongest warrior, nearly unbeatable in battle. However, one day during the war, Achilles was struck by an arrow shot and the arrow hit the one vulnerable spot, his heel. Achilles died, and his name became legendary. End. 🤗

I need honest opinions on this situation because it’s getting really complicated and emotional for someone I know 🙏 She has given her permission to share this. A lady came to the UK 🇬🇧 around September last year as an international student. Around that same time, she met a guy during one of their work shifts. They became friends first, kept talking consistently, and eventually started a relationship around January this year. According to her, the relationship was serious. This guy constantly told her he loved her, wanted exclusivity, and saw a future with her. There are voice notes, chats, and messages to back this up. They became intimate and at some point had unprotected sex. She said she took a morning-after pill afterwards, thinking that would prevent pregnancy. At the same time, she was already struggling with tuition fees. Eventually, her school withdrew her admission because she couldn’t keep up with payments, and now the Home Office has told her to leave the UK. She has only a few months left on her visa and is currently trying to sort things out through a lawyer, possibly applying for FLR, but nothing is guaranteed. A few weeks later, she noticed she still hadn’t seen her period. At first she assumed it was stress from everything happening. Eventually she went to the GP and was told she was already about 8 weeks pregnant. Now everything has changed. The same guy who said he loved her and wanted a future together is now saying he is not ready for a child and wants absolutely nothing to do with her unless she aborts the pregnancy. He’s become angry, distant, and according to her, has basically withdrawn emotionally from the relationship. The lady is 31. The guy is around 35. She says she doesn’t want to terminate the pregnancy. She feels emotionally attached already and believes this may be her chance at motherhood. But she’s scared. She may have to return to Nigeria if her immigration situation fails. Her family already knows, and surprisingly, her father is more supportive of her coming back home than trying to struggle alone in the UK. Some people have advised her that raising a child alone in the UK without support from the father could become extremely difficult financially, emotionally, and mentally. Now she feels trapped between: • keeping the baby and possibly becoming a single mother • aborting a child she says she genuinely wants • returning to Nigeria to start over • or trying to stay in the UK with no certainty about immigration or support She’s emotionally exhausted and honestly doesn’t know what the right decision is anymore. So she genuinely want public opinions: If you were in her shoes, what would you do? Should she keep the pregnancy? Should the man be held more accountable? Does she realistically have any chance of building stability in the UK right now? Or is going back home the wiser decision? Please be honest but kind 🙏

A lady on TikTok posted a video on her page today, the first video. It shows her being awarded the Best Graduating Student at LOGIC Foundation Class by Pastor Flourish Peters. But the problem becomes apparent when you see the lifestyle of the girl. In the second video, she boasts about sexual activities. She talks about how she can engage in sexual acts for a sustained period of time. She boasts about engaging in oral sex licentiously. She boasts about how she relishes ingesting semen orally. She says she is “mischievous,” boastfully. But that is not all. She talks about other more depraved illicit acts she cherishingly engages in. For example, she describes someone she has designated an “Eater.” According to her, this person performs oral sex on her, and she in turn records the sounds she makes and shares these recordings with her “inner circle.” That is practically pornography. And that is apart from other licentious lifestyle practices like narrative pornography, nudity, etc. This person was awarded the Best Graduating Student of LOGIC Church’s foundational Bible program. Now, why are we making this post? God bears us witness, it is not primarily because of the girl, but because of the pastor. Right now, if this girl unfortunately dies, she will not be part of the kingdom of heaven. Why? The Bible denounces this sort of lifestyle. “For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God.” — 1 Thess. 4:3–5 Then it says God’s judgment comes upon those who live in such sin: “The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before.”- 1 Thess. 2:16. If this lady dies today, her soul will wake up in God's eternal judgement in hell. Why would God judge those who engage in sexual immorality? It is because our bodies, as believers, are now the temple of God, and God will destroy anyone who destroys His temple: “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.” — 1 Cor. 3:16–17 Let God deal with Spiricoco, be it ever so severely, if we are not writing this with quaking fingers and tears lining our very eyes. This girl’s soul is wasting away in sin. Her soul is gone deep in the death of sin, at the moment. And her pastor has not been able to tell her that the works of the flesh are manifest: “Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality…”— Gala. 5:19 And that those who engage in them will be judged by God: “I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” — Gala. 5:21 Flourish Peters has not told her that: “God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: ‘The Lord knows those who are his,’ and, ‘Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.’” — 2 Tim. 2:19 Pastor Flourish has not told her that she must abandon the evil ways in which her mind was once controlled by lust against God before she was saved: “They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart... and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness.” — Eph. 4:18 Instead, what does Flourish Peters do? He gave her an award, and told her only to stop sharing “those spicy content.” So, he knows about these vulgar corrupt communications from her. But his problem was not that she was doing sexually immoral things, but that she was sharing them. That was Flourish Peters’ concern. This is a major church in the heart of Lagos where many attend. Right now, the lady’s soul is in corruption and sin, and Flourish Peters, who was meant to deliver the washing word of truth, has not. If Flourish Peters really preached to her, she should have repented, turned back from these sinful life to the living God. Like the Ephesians burnt their spellbooks when Paul preached to them, this girl should have done the same if Peters really shared the gospel of life with her. But he obviously didn't share the whole counsel of God with her. Finally, we share this to show you the danger of hypergrace doctrine. In LOGIC Church, they preach that we don’t need to ask for forgiveness anymore. They preach the “once saved, forever saved” doctrine. This is the fruit of that doctrine. A grace that has been turned into licentiousness. There is no one who lives like that who will make heaven. Hypergrace is damnation, and LOGIC Church preaches it. This is the fruit. The time to talk about Flourish Peters is not here yet. He is not alone. The man from whom all these doctrines originate was the subject of discussion on Christian Twitter all of last week. But we have said this to warn you: to know the wolves in your midst. To beware of false preachers, the apostles of Satan. To be diligent with the Word, and fervent in prayers that you may guard against temptation. To keep your garments clean, and to live circumspectly in this world. When the time to fight comes, God will put Satan under our feet. Peace be with you. Amen.

We need to redesign our education system. A student shouldn’t be entitled to a whole 50-70% of the semester’s entire grade in a single exam. I taught a class in the just concluded Spring semester: 40 assignments in total, no final exam. 93% = A grade. Your A starts from week 1.

@gamerwalt You and I know, most women, if not the majority, don't see cheating as their deal breaker. They will rather detest a man who doesn't provide over a man who cheats on them and provide.

I have to disagree with this take entirely. Integrity has no gender, and betrayal doesn't play favorites. The idea that men can't forgive cheating but women will tolerate it for money is a false narrative. In my own life, I know of at least 5 different men who have accepted their wives back after cheating, and 3 or more women who have done the same with their husbands. If one person has seen this happen that many times, it proves this isn't a gender issue... it's a human issue. Fact: Cheating is wrong, regardless of whether you are a man or a woman. It is broken trust, irresponsibility, and a lack of character. We need to stop making up gender rules to justify bad behavior and just call it exactly what it is. Eéfín ni ìwà, kò ṣeé fi pamọ́. Character is like smoke. it cannot be hidden. Cheating is bad behavior irrespective of gender. We shouldn't normalize it for any gender.
Àgbà John Doe@jon_d_doe

No man has ever accepted a cheating wife& has succeeded in marriage. But a wife that has tolerated a cheating husband has succeeded in marriage. This is why polygamy has remained valid for years. Women don't hate cheating. They just hate to be cheated on empty pockets. End.

People probably struggle with FarmFresh’s greek yoghurt because of the taste. It is made with fresh cow whole milk, and that has an interesting taste. Further, almost no other producer of greek yoghurt does the same in Nigeria.

My best friend took my wife’s side after we had an argument. He stopped by my house to wait for me while I was on my way home. He even called me and started blaming me. I kept wondering why he would blindly support her so fast, so I checked the camera and saw him eating a whole big tilapia fish in tomato sauce, served with fried plantain on the side, and 3 bottles of Guinness to step it down. My own friend literally took my wife’s side because of food… he didn’t even hear what I had to say.

I find it extremely senseless when folks in relationships report their partners to his or her friends Now read carefully.. Your partner’s friends WILL NEVER be on your side no matter what! In fact, I dare say the most ‘useless’ people to your union are your partner’s friends.
