Craig Kelly:🇦🇺Foundation for Economic Education
Only an out-of-touch, arrogant buffoon would use $200 million of taxpayers’ money to set up for himself an “Office of the Presidency.” Bowen knows he is going to lose his seat in Western Sydney to One Nation at the election, so he’s using taxpayers’ money to create a new post-politics career as a grifter in the Climate Industrial Complex ………. "Climate Change Minister Chris Bowen has set up an “office of the presidency” in his department after being appointed next year’s COP president of negotiations. The Coalition has claimed the government will spend more than $200 million related to Australia's role at the summit. Mr Bowen was handed the position at the Conference of the Parties (COP) to be hosted by Turkey after Australia lost out on hosting the climate conference, which could have cost as much as $2 billion. A Department of Climate Change and Energy organisational chart, published on May 1, shows the newly created “office of the presidency” under the “International and Climate Negotiations” division. However, Australia's overall COP 31 commitments over the next three years will cost more than $200 million. According to the 2026-27 budget, the government will spend $50 million on "delivering on Australia's COP 31 agenda". The $50 million over two years will "enable Australia to effectively deliver under its role as President of Negotiations", according to the budget papers. The government will also spend $79 million for "extending Australia's international climate change engagement" over two years. This funding includes hosting the Pre-COP summit in the region and "supporting Australia's role" at COP31. A further $147 million over three years will be spent on "standing with our partners in the pacific" through Australia's role at COP31.

@Dkelly4congress @SOrbit31914 @RockRockenbaugh Trump signed an executive order on January 23rd 2025 stopping USAID. Because of this over 800000 people have died as a result and the vast majority are children under five years old. He has blood on his hands. Any thoughts that Jesus sanctioned this is fucked up.

@____Padge @Ausbobsmit And boy did she get hauled over the coals for it. But now it’s just a thing. Anika Wells comes to mind. Finally she is also getting called out too, but it was way more than a helicopter ride.

@Ausbobsmit I mean, it wouldn't be that any other Foreign Minister in previous Coalition Governments had to claim travel expenses for their staff, office expenses, Comm car, phone costs, in their claims would there? Remember Bronwyn Bishop's helicopter rental to a Liberal fundraiser?

The ongoing controversy surrounding Communications Minister Anika Wells has escalated, with the Opposition now formally calling for her resignation. Liberal Senator Sarah Henderson has publicly stated that Wells "cannot survive" the growing pressure regarding her taxpayer funded travel. This follows an audit that required the Minister to repay over $10,000 for incorrect expense claims, alongside recent questions over a work trip that allegedly coincided with a friend's 40th birthday party. While Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has defended Wells, stating she made "honest mistakes" and repaid the funds, critics argue this ongoing saga is a major test of political accountability and transparency. Many are asking if government ministers are being held to the same financial standards as everyday Australians. Do you think Anika Wells should step down over the travel spending controversy?

This is TERRIFYING. The way Keir Starmer just responded to @TRobinsonNewEra's Unite the Kingdom Rally sounds like he really wants it to be his January 6th. What is Starmer preparing for? He denounced “hatred” and "racism" (neither of which are on the itinerary). And he said he will use the full force of the law if necessary to prosecute people. He will deploy 4,000 policy officers to the event and will use a massive array of facial recognition cameras to identify people attending. This is actually bone-chilling.
