@TightFive_Rugby Sadly, when all your players including your inspirational captain bugger off for money you run out of players to field a competitive team. Was doomed from the start imo.

Terrible news that Moana Pasifika are set to be axed from Super Rugby Pacific. Really thought that Ardie Savea’s time there would kickstart the franchise into attracting more talent and creating sustainable pathways, but clearly not. A long term solution needs to be found to harness the talent in the Pacific Islands, there’s so much of it.

Never touch gummies. I've been training for a few years and tried some Haribos during my workouts on a whim, and in 2-3 sessions, 80% of my lifts broke personal records, and now I've been addicted for the last half year
Noah Ryan@NoahRyanCo

Always saw the biggest guy at my college gym eating sour patch kids inbetween his sets and my underdeveloped brain could not comprehend why a man so jacked would eat something so taboo (this was peak low-carb era). But now I understand. Fast carbs (glucose, dextrose, sucrose) enter your bloodstream immediately. Working muscles sucks that glucose out of your blood via GLUT4 transclocation, independent of insulin. You bypass the usual metabolic bottlenecks and feed your engines mid-burn. High intensity training is heavily dependent on glycogen and glycolosis. Burn through your glycogen stores and your performance suffers. Less explosiveness, no pump, more cortisol. Keeping your muscles fueled mid-workout gives you everything you want and need. Glucose has an osmotic effect. It pulls water into muscle cells and hydrates you at an intracellular level (very anabolic btw). You get better bloodflow, bigger/fuller muscles, better contraction. You can sustain peak output for the entirety of your workout. Its not just your muscles that are being fueled either. Your brain is a glucose hog. Low blood sugar during long sessions is the leading cause of fatigue and poor motor output. Hence why glucose microdosing is beneficial for cognitive tasks as well (especially hybrid psycho/physiological tasks like martial arts, sports etc.) Better yet, exogenous glucose blunds cortisol-induced tissue breakdown. Extremely anti-catabolic. You perform better, you feel better, you recover better, and you leave your workout less fried than you otherwise would. All while giving you a perfect excuse to get your sugar fix in guilt free.

@elliottnz @liamnapiernz Warner Dearns is on a sabbatical from his Japanese club isn't he? If this trend of players coming back just for the WC continues, what are the chances future contracts for NZ players playing in Japan might include sabbaticals in the lead up to World Cups?

@AdrianNeves17 @puckempire We all know Freddie will start first game of playoffs and we will only see a change up if the Canes are down in a series. If Kooch is fit I say start him. Carolina will not win a Stanley Cup with Freddie or Bus, only hope is if Kooch finally arrives.

Brandon Bussi has registered a .900+ save percentage in just 2 of his last 12 games played. Something to worry about in Carolina ahead of the playoffs?

@NewYorkNixon @SuperRugby It's a joke anyway with several bitch made players opting out of the official competition. The illegitimate comps are better because of that alone.

@RucknPuck @Munsterrugby You have to be resident here for a certain period to become eligible to play for Ireland so he has to wait a bit more. He's very popular here in Munster and very good for us in Munster overall!

@rugbyphilosophy Highlanders got to be my second favourite after the Canes cause they aren’t the Crusaders, Chiefs or the Blues.

I’ve got a theory. The Hurricanes are most people’s second favourite Super Rugby team. And I think it comes down to a few things. First, they just don’t have real beef with anyone. - The Crusaders have won for so long that everyone outside Christchurch hates them. - The Blues carry Auckland energy. Everyone south of them has an issue with it. - The Chiefs have little brother beef with everyone else. - The Highlanders are genuienly liked, but their brand of rugby is not super attractive. That leaves the Hurricanes. Everyone's second favourite team. The Hurricanes have always just played good footy. Fast. Agile. Ball in hand. They back their backs, they move teams around, they score amazing tries. That’s been their identity for years. The have a history of special players. Players with an * next to their name. Players who aren't only good, or great, but speical. That little secret sauce. That little something-something. That touch of class. The grace of Cullen. The power of Lomu. The nouce of Umaga. The wrecker of Nonu. The class of Barrett. The chat of Coles. The destroyer of Collins. That’s not just a list of great players, that’s a list of players people remember. Players you want to watch. Players you’d happily tune in for even if your team isn’t involved. Players who've left a unique mark on the game. Every competition has that team. The one everyone’s quietly loves. The one that plays good rugby, has great players, and doesn’t come with baggage. So I’m curious. Who’s your second favourite team in Super Rugby?

This is why it's so FREAKING hard to play goalie in the Canes system. The shots are fewer and farther between, but when they come, they are high-quality chances. Our goalies have less time to get the "feel" of the game before having to make tough saves. #CarolinaCulture

@HamSolo26157584 @OMG_ITS_NDABA Honestly, something about Rennie and Barnes that makes me feel good, so good in fact that I get over confident. But theres too much negativity around NZ rugby right now that i've decided to go in the other direction! your prediction is probably bang on.

@RucknPuck @OMG_ITS_NDABA it's good to feel optimistic, although you said the AB's would win 4 zip, that's more then just optimsitic. Personally I think the boks will win 3 out of 4. I think the AB's will win the Baltimore game. I also think the AB's will beat the SA club teams easily.

@HamSolo26157584 @OMG_ITS_NDABA Are we not allowed to be optimistic? You're spot on, Razor was like the 2nd coming of Jesus for some AB fans. Different feel with Rennie but I personally feel like its a big change in the whole dynamic. Just an optimistic AB fan confident they will put in a good showing in SA.

@RucknPuck Again (like most Kiwis) you're bringing up things from the Obama administration bruv. Rassie era Rassie era Rassie era State of current Boks vs current All Blacks. No one cares about 2015. Half the current squad was in Primary school.
