Tariffs are taxes. The foreign company or importer pays the taxes, yes. Then they pass the cost onto the consumer — by raising prices. So tariffs are paid by YOU — and the prices of EVERYTHING are about to go up. We’ll call it Trumpflation.

Trump will begin operations to deport millions of undocumented immigrants when he starts his term, campaign press secretary Karoline Leavitt. The goal set by the Trump campaign is to detain and remove 13 to 25 million people, they plan to indefinitely detain them across various camps. The operation is being called "the largest deportation in history" and it is estimated that it will cost around 88 billion tax dollars to complete. The current US prison population is only 1.8 million. It is estimated that they could remove 1 million people per year. Experts estimate families may be rounded up together, including individuals who are not illegal, including green card holders or citizens born to illegal migrants. Future Trump proposals also include backtracking on green cards that have already been granted and exploring legislation to remove the citizenship of those born to parents not born in the US. @Andie00471 I really enjoyed this post. It was a bright spot in my day after the last few.

One of my GCs I partner w is a Trump guy. We won a new job that will start next year. I just told him I won’t honor today’s materials’ pricing past January. He asked why. I said tariffs could cause 100% increase in COGS or more. That I would send new pricing in the spring. He said but I have to sign the fixed price contract w them tomorrow! And there you have it! One lesson learned two days too late! Too bad. So sad.

@MarkDjpag101 @Andie00471 Almost all American made products use imported parts when they are assembled. He places tariffs you will be paying for them it’s a fact. NO manufacturer is going to absorb the additional tariff and neither is the middlemen . YOU THE CONSUMER PAYS
