@cycling_spy This mesh is predominantly used for ventilation but we did find good aero performance from this fabric, but rotated 90 degrees from how it’s used here. It’s not the best aero fabric, but a good choice for where light weight and ventilation are also required.

#Giro Details on Cav’s skinsuit. Looks like normal Giordana fabric on the arms/sides but with some mesh in the middle of the back. With Cav’s head down position, would this reduce drag? #cyclingtech #aero #cyclingaero #GirodItalia #aerodynamics

@cycling_spy Teams can be limited by the length of sleeves. Some jerseys are closer to 1/3 length than the are to the elbow.

#DDV2023 I’d have thought it would be better to pull the sleeve all the way down to cover the base layer, not sure how much that could be worth and could be wrong but even from a fashion perspective having a base layer poking out would drive me insane.

#Giro Armirail using what looks like a non-sponsor correct skinsuit. Doesn’t look like an ALE suit. It’s a double-layer suit with narrow-spacing ridges but unsure of the brand. Looks like Castelli but their base layers are hard to get hold of so would be surprising.

@Alchas65 @TimBonvilleGinn @medicinexthings Aero base layers are fully UCI legal so long as the ribs are an integral part of the base fabric.

@TimBonvilleGinn @medicinexthings Think it has to to be legal. Might be wrong, but I think aero base layers aren't allowed, but these are categorised differently when they extend beyond the sleeve (no longer just under clothing).
