I'm thrilled to finally share that my short story, “Debby's Dream House” from my debut collection “Jerusalem Beach” will be adapted into a Hollywood film. The Oscar-winning screenwriter Charlie Kaufman is writing and directing the movie, with the wonderful Eddie Redmayne, Tessa Thompson, and Patsy Ferran are starring. Honestly, it's been in the works for quite some time, but it still feels surreal.

Carmel Gat, an occupational therapy student at Hebrew U, remains captive since the October 7 Hamas attack, where she was brutally kidnapped from her parents' home. Every classroom echoes her absence with a reserved seat, a symbol of hope and prayer for her safe return.
