Today I’m in the United Republic of Tanzania as the Pan-African Postal Union (PAPU) Plenipotentiary Chairperson @papuafrica. Tomorrow I will preside over the PAPU Day celebrations to be held in Arusha,Tanzania. Ahead of the celebrations,today I toured the newly commissioned PAPU House in Arusha,Tanzania.The 17- storey building was commissioned on 2 September 2023 by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania H.E. Samia Suluhu Hassan. The building was built on land given to PAPU by Tanzania’s founding father and Pan-Africanist Mwalimu Julius Nyerere. I also met staff members of PAPU led by the Secretary General (SG) Dr. Chief Sifundo Moyo @Chieftainship who hails from Zimbabwe. I applauded the PAPU secretariat for their hard work but urged them to work hard in digitising Africa’s postal services to ensure that postal services do not become antiquated and irrelevant. I also mentioned that Zimbabwe fully supported PAPU and that President Emmerson Mnangagwa was passionate about Africans speaking with one voice and building their own continent using African solutions.

Have you registered for a company, Do you have a functional bank account, do you have PRAZ, VAT number, a vendor number and a tax clearance. If you do not want to own one, have you acquired new skills, are you making new networks, are you gathering new contacts and knowledge. Listen…Tenders will come and pass you by🥹, because you have no idea 🤷 about what i have just mentioned earlier kumusoro uko. Amana ka, pay attention to this… 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 will always be the same if YOU DO NOT INTENTIONALLY BECOME THE DIFFERENCE! For example, Some leaders in Zimbabwe have been emphasizing more on the construction of 8 lane roads, if they win, thats good… But individually do you think you will partake of this tender when availed to the public. Do you think you will build these roads if you do not have the right papers… KANGANWA hako hama, infact kanganwa nicely! BEING PREPARED means taking the time to LEARN new skills, gather KNOWLEDGE , and HONE your abilities so that when opportunities arise, you are ready to act on them. It involves hard work, dedication, and focus, and without it, luck may NEVER come your way. I PRAY LUCK COMES YOUR WAY!!! What are you good at? Do you have a skill you believe is UNIQUE? Dear African Child This is Africa, do not drop out of school. Pursue education if you have an opportunity to. Some of the motivational books I read from authors and writers from the West, aren’t applicable here. We aren’t in the West or East where there seems to be more equal opportunities for everyone. Kindly note; The Lion 🦁 is not the fastest - cheetah 🐆 the slowest - tortoise 🐢 the biggest - elephant 🐘 the swiftest - monkey 🙈 the tallest - giraffe 🦒 But it is the King of the jungle. Every attribute the lion possesses, it is not the best but it is still the King. Even if every attribute you have you aren’t the best, STILL… you can still make it. We all come from different backgrounds, but like i have always said… Where you come from has nothing to do with where you are going, SUCCESS is an inside job… Your circumstances shouldn’t be an excuse enough for you not to pursue your goals, if there is no way, MAKE ONE ! This gets us to my issue THE LION ATTITUDE. Because of its built and stature, the lion could argue I can’t hunt 😭, am not fast like the cheetah and am not even as big as an elephant to scare my prey…so i will not hunt. It is justifiable but it will die!! Regardless of all challenges we face as Africans, giving up is not an OPTION or a LUXURY we can afford. EXCUSES WILL ALWAYS BE THERE BUT OPPORTUNITIES WILL NOT!
