I strongly disagree. While I do believe Obama was winning no matter what in 2008 had the Republicans nominated a different candidate. It would’ve been closer. John McCain would’ve just been a third Bush term which people were strongly against even on the GOP side. Had it been someone like Ron Paul he likely would’ve done better.
