being a content creator in this social space is actually insane. if you speak politically, half your audience decides you’re evil, performative, misinformed, or “virtue signaling.” if you don’t speak, people treat your silence like a secret manifesto. suddenly you’re complicit. or “protecting your brand.” or “showing your true colors.” there is no neutral. there is no “i just make content.” the internet does not believe in fences, only sides. and the people will say “just be authentic” but what they mean is “be authentic in the way that aligns with me.” the second your authenticity doesn’t mirror their worldview, it becomes betrayal. you’re expected to: be informed on everything / respond immediately / say it perfectly / never change your mind / never miss a topic / never get it wrong. and if you do? screenshots. threads. harassment. character arcs written about you by strangers who don’t even actually know you. meanwhile some of us just log on to post art, stream games, or talk to our communities. but the timeline treats every event like a test of your morals that you’re expected to answer immediately, whether you planned to or not. it’s exhausting and it’s not healthy for anyone. the pressure to publicly perform your entire moral framework on demand is not normal. but on here, it’s for some reason expected. and if you don’t comply? “silence is violence.” “wow. interesting that you’re quiet.” “so this is who you really are.” you’re damned if you do, damned if you don’t. and the mob will always feel justified either way. social media has convinced people that access equals obligation. it doesn’t. sometimes people are just people. not ideological mascots. just people with a platform. and then the weirdest part is watching people wait for their favorite creator to post so they can decide what they think. if you need a streamer, artist, or internet personality to tell you what your stance is before you form one, that’s not community, that’s outsourcing your critical thinking and insanely disappointing to see. creators are not ideological parents, they’re not your compass. if you only settle on your beliefs after your favorite creator shares theirs, that isn’t really forming your own conviction, it’s relying on someone else to decide for you. and that’s kinda crazy tbh.

also to clarify: my initial post is a bit misleading. If your name is on the first site, it's not a 100% sign that your art was trained on. you need to actually compare your art to the ai gen on the site to make that determination yourself.

apparently someone made a "style explorer" database for a recent ai image model... which just. ends up documenting over 10,000 artists who's art was stolen to make that model. it even has a little search bar to let you check if your art was stolen! how thoughtful.

@usagicalamariVT Cross ban lists are common across vtubers. In your case, receipts of admissions of abhorrent behavior on a public server.

A lot of Vtubers, especially big indies, really need to be know what some of their mods are up to. Banning people on their discord server and Twitch over Twitter reputation is not justifiable if the person isn’t even causing problems in that space. 2 examples I’m going to say is @SinderVTuber and @ChaChayourvmom. I wasn’t even active in chat on their streams and servers, just a casual viewer for small periods of times and then I just get banned with zero explanation. It’s a bad precedent that these mods are setting and need to be put in check by the streamer.

A lot of female VTubers mislead their male viewers into thinking they have a chance with them, so they can milk money from them and use them as tools to attack other female VTubers. The space has become toxic because these women, who are a lot, try to build mini cults. They have zero interest in dating these guys but make them think they have a chance. Many women have learned they suck in the workforce because they're lazy assholes, so they they become VTubers to make lazy reaction slop to steal other peoples content!
