I’ve noticed a lot of positive comments talking about how people have preferred the type of videos I make when I do Elden Ring, and other people saying they prefer the types of videos before this. I do not wish to disappoint either camp, so here’s the deal with that: For better or for worse my videos take a really really long time to make and can be described as “high commitment”. I wouldn’t make videos like this if I wasn’t very passionate about the games I was making them for. I care about views, I factor in views, but ultimately, I’m just trying to make the best kind of video I can for the game I’m making it on. I have a style, it’s very obviously my “style”. But, I’m going to vary a lot of things based on what works for each game! So in a longer video, I’m going to change the pace. In a game where I have access to freecam or other resources, I use that. And, ultimately, I’m not really fulfilled just making the same type of video all the time and conforming all of the content to be exactly that! So, you’re going to see varied video lengths, varied video details, varied pacing. I will simply make the video that I think is best for that game or for my idea. Chasing what you think the algorithm is is a bad idea. At least, if you like making art. I’ve learned through past successes that breaking into a new idea you’re passionate about is better, and the algorithm will follow. Claiming to know what it wants exactly is a bad idea. So, I am simply unafraid of video variations that I want to make. If you’re a fan of me, I hope it’s because you think I’m a good enough artist, and not that I happen to make the exact same thing all the time. My fans have been unusually supportive in these endeavors, and they’re the best in the world when it comes to encouraging me to make good videos.
