I teach English composition, literature, and film. I am a rabid Georgia Bulldog football fan and wrote my thesis on Don DeLillo. Otis Redding is my avatar.

Siempre aluciné con esta escena de #ChuckNorris acabando con el villano de Invasión USA (1985). Cannon y acción 80s en vena.
"It´s Time".
¿Uno de los mejores finales de la historia del cine?

@LouDPhillips Would have been a great final exit for Walker and Norris.
English

While I truly appreciate the sentiment behind this, I’m not aware that this project EVER existed.

@LouDPhillips Was this filmed or due to be made?

@Hot_Pepper76 Every episode. I believe the show exists in the same universe as Breaking Bad. Do a deep dive on the actors who've appeared in both.

@DailySquibs I remember Invasion USA being filmed here in Atlanta in the '80s. The most Cannon film of Cannon Films.

@TheBeatlesPMcC Yoko is definitely complicated, but she's also a great artist and strong personality.
Both John and Paul found strong, gifted women who helped them mature.
English

"Give Peace A Chance", John Lennon, 1969.

Super Sky Point to Death, which has been Chuck Norris’d. You have to respect any man so proficient at kicking motherfuckers in the face he required special jeans. St. Peter, I hope you know how to duck. #RIP

@DenisonBarbs @Acyn They're also very flexible depending on events. Have eaten there plenty of times decked out in a red football jersey before the football SEC Championship game.
English

@Acyn Ruth's Chris is a private business and has the right to set a dress code if they wish. If you don't like it then find a different restaurant.
English

@MarshallRTeague I've been watch Chuck Norris since Way of the Dragon.

"How 'Bout Us" (1981)
Do you remember hearing this one on the radio?
It was first recorded in 1975, then reworked and became their biggest hit in 1981. Do you know their name?x.com/calmalgodown/s…

@TheCinesthetic Both Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968) and Moonraker (1979) are based on Ian Fleming novels and steer so far away from their sources. Moonraker is much tougher to forgive, considering how cravenly it took advantage of Star Wars popularity. The plot is just empty.
English

Moonraker (1979) goes completely off the rails and that’s the appeal. Roger Moore leaning into the absurd, a lineup of memorable villains, glossy visuals, and set pieces that just want to entertain. It’s Bond at his most ridiculous and it works.

What is the most unfairly hated movie that you will defend every time
English

@CMtheLion1 @masuzafi Totally agree. As President, you have to expect that some people will agree with you and that the press will ask tough questions. Part of the job is remaining sober and dignified in the face of adversity.
English

@RunningDog34 @masuzafi That goes both ways! There is a point where the highest office in the country needs to show a “level of maturity in the face of hostility” and his behavior is below and has been below all the levels when it comes to interacting with other “professionals” that disagree with him
English

@CMtheLion1 @masuzafi Working adults and professionals maintain an even level of maturity in the face of hostility. It sets a good example.
English

@masuzafi Wish one of them had the balls to respond back “You’re a vile person and a terrible president”! 😀
English

@BenStiller Thank you. Reds is a complicated but well-structured film.
I whooped like a child when I found a DVD of Reds at a thrift store because it is not the easiest film to find.
English

100 percent disagree. One of the great film making achievements. Warren Beatty is one of the best directors of the last 50 years. This is a beautifully made film on every level with one of the great Diane Keaton performances.
Any person wanting to make a love story that is both small and epic should watch this.
In this era of shorter attention spans REDS stands out as what long form storytelling used to be.
This used to be what a big screen movie was with our IMAX or special effects - and it is breathtaking.
The witnesses alone - real people from the era telling the story interspersed with the films scenes give of a depth and authenticity we never see anymore in studio movies.
See REDS!!
Michael Warburton@TheMonologist
Off the back of ‘Bonnie And Clyde’, ‘Shampoo’ & ‘Heaven Can Wait’ WARREN BEATTY was allowed to co-write, produce, direct & star in this fundamentally boring 3hr plus yawn fest. Incredibly it was nom’d for 12 Oscars & won 3. REDS (1981)
