Been a while since my last tweet. None stop here with school, a house move and preparing for 1st baby! Some people are just unbelievable! 🤬 On a positive note…we are no longer in a caravan on parents drive! We are finally in our house and 4 weeks tomorrow baby is due! Phew!

@Sarah_Jayne1981 We don't generate any income no. We just muddle through best we can and apply for a lot of grants for basically everything.

Meeting with LA yesterday. As a county we need to improve results, our cluster of schools need to look where the issues are and sort them out. Possibly spend money on new scheme or interventions. Next sentence, budgets are tightening even more and be careful with your money. 🤷‍♂️🤯

Anon post: New headteacher, three weeks in... I'm a jumble of emotions. Inadequacy, excitement, overwhelm... it's exhilarating and terrifying all at once. Anyone else felt this way? Is this the 'new headteacher normal'?

We were inspected in mid-July. We haven't had our report through yet. Where does that leave us? @Ofstednews @Headteacherchat

I bloody love the 6 week holiday.

First day of the holidays. Weight lifted. Shoulders higher. Energised. A wonderful feeling! Too early for the pub? 🤔

Already at PAN,inclusive of a number of children with additional needs.Yet admissions appeal see fit to ignore our side and allocate a place. Im absolutely furious.Decisions are made by people who don't have to deal with the consequences. If they can appeal, we should be able to.

Just when you think the end of term is not busy enough, we get the call.

@SmallSchool_KS2 We very much had them last week on an 2 day visit.

Are Ofsted still doing Deep Dives? Local officer for MAT told is they “stopped ages ago”? I may have been asleep.

Ofsted visited my brilliant school on Tuesday and Wednesday last week. Sunday night has hit different this week. It's been the grim reaper hanging over me for 2 years since becoming head. I'm so glad it's done.

@CensoredHead 💯. Bang on. Personal development>some elements of quality of education in my eyes.

The curriculum work we've done has been another big education fad with limited impact. Schools have spent so much time on this and created so much additional workload. We will hopefully get away from this knowledge heavy curriculum and look to bring the fun back to learning.

The weekend post Ofsted visit. Levels of tiredness I've never felt before...and I have a 3 month old child 🤣😴
