@tes @Ofstednews Could be wrong but I don’t think this is much of a change. Currently if you’re a full time school leader contracted to inspect for ofsted then the money goes to your school. There’s no change, they just seem to be giving the school less money in return.

@simonlevans We are now at £460 and that’s with a council.

The service charge in my block, owned by a so-called housing association (L&Q) is over £300 a month. There’s no lift, no car park, no gym. It’s an absolute rip off.

My understanding is that a trust can be a federation trust, schools trust, cooperative trust. If the @educationgovuk want to see an example of a partnership trust rooted in its local communities, then there’s no better example than nottinghamschoolstrust.org.uk

🚨 NEW: The Government has outlined reforms to schools: - Introduce a tiered system for disadvantage funding based on household income so schools with the poorest pupils receive more money - Increase maternity pay for teachers and support staff - Offer up to £15,000 to new headteachers who take jobs in hard-to-staff areas - Overhaul the SEND system to allow earlier support and 60,000 new places - Create standard "School Profiles" to show information on attendance and results to parents - Set national minimum standards for how schools communicate and engage with parents

@ollyp3 @PolitlcsUK @UKLabour This isn’t new, more funding has been steered to schools with higher free school meals since 2011 via the pupil premium. Looks like fine tuning than anything radical.

@PolitlcsUK @UKLabour are an utter disgrace. Just another way to tax and punish parents who work, care for their children and pay tax and redistribute funds to those who don’t. Here is a novel idea. Crete incentives to work instead of more reasons not to.

@blazercarl @ICT_MrP Incorrect. Teachers don’t have the right to be off site. Many schools now facilitate this but it’s not a right.

OFSTED Grade distribution for the 175 primary school inspections published to date. Because it was raining and I was bored. No exceptionals given out since the glut in the pilot schools. Achievement most likely to be judged NA, and also seems to have driven SM judgements.
