She has both federal and state Certificates of Occupancy. She has the land registered in her name at the land registry. Do you know she can sue Peter Obi for trespassing on her property? Forget politics — let’s use our conscience. Did you see the court ruling? The documents clearly stated that the sheriff went multiple times to the property, but the defendant refused to show up. The court even recorded the dates and times the sheriff visited. The property was vacant for years — that’s why the court ruled in Deborah’s favour. Not everything is about politics. You know the law. Also, are you aware that the plot was originally residential, and Peter Obi converted it to commercial use? You know very well that is against the law. Without proper approval from the Ministry of Urban Planning, one can not change the land use. That alone is grounds for prosecution. People are using emotion to damage Nigeria, yet you swore an oath to uphold the law. Imagine the level of impunity that has been happening in Anambra when it comes to land issues — if their former governor is this ignorant and openly breaks the law? Just look at the statistics: they show that many people from the South East do not follow the proper process for acquiring land. But once they are held accountable, they start attacking the state and blaming it for their own ignorance. There is a very poor law-seeking behaviour pattern among south easterners, yet Lagos ends up with a bad name because of it???? This is not tribalism — this is fact-based observation. This is why other tribes live peacefully here because they respect due process and follow the law when acquiring land. That’s the truth.

We have many past and present governors living in Lagos, and no one is touching their properties—because they have valid legal documents. Other presidential candidates also reside here. Even Atiku’s house in Ikoyi is still standing—clearly, he has all the required documents. And by the way, the land in question had no visible activity for years—it was an abandoned structure, and no one showed up to claim it. The woman demolished the place only after the land was awarded to her in court, and she was ready to develop it. Let’s not forget that the C of O was for residential use, yet Peter Obi converted it into a commercial property. So here’s a former governor, breaking the law—and then turning around to blame Lagos State for the consequences of his own actions? Some of you are even upset that the Lagos State Government didn’t express sympathy in their official statement. But do you realize Peter Obi publicly accused them of victimization in his tweet?
