@SocialHistoryOx Here’s a photo of a modern day Rushbearing Cart. The Sowerby Bridge Rushbearing runs as an annual festival raising money for local charities.

This painting is marvellous - it depicts a rushbearing on Manchester's Long Millgate, at the start of the 19th century.

Despite the rain we really enjoyed @LightNightLeeds again this year - it’s grown and improved so much it now holds it’s place alongside lofty company such as @Rushbearing and @PaceEgging in our calendar
