@majornelson Oh hell yeah! I have stacks and stacks of CDRs and MP3 CDs I made of 90s club and techno mixes that you can't find annnnnywhere now.

One of the reasons I am reinvesting in my in-home music library is because a lot of the CD compilations I have simply are not available online anywhere. The licensing for those is complicated, so no streaming. A lot of my music is club mixes from the 90's.

I feel ya, Major... I started a gaming podcast with my buddies 8 years ago to hang out, talk about games and gaming news, and just be a part of an industry and hobby i've loved for all of my life, but i can say.. the last couple years have been quite depressing.. this entire year, so far, has made me heavily reconsider changing the format.. because our "news hour" every week is sucking the fun right out. I hope that we can see a shift and a change, and get back to opening up gaming news to be excited about things.. but I fear we have quite a bit of turmoil to work through until the sun peeks through.

In a couple weeks, we are going to feature a bunch of visually interesting arcade racers on the show from retro to now. We are currently building a list of games we have, as well as some new games we're thinking about picking up. I just ran across Super Polygon Grand Prix from @games_rozz and i think we are definetely going to have to pick this up for that show. this looks SICK!! @RohanKarMooN Oooh Thanks for this! Man I love these older licensed IP Activision games. They were so heavily made for "console first" as the in-game graphic settings are so limited, but when you dig into the engine configs, there's so many cool settings to mess with to enhance the visuals!

Today Sony announced the end of physical games from them, by Jan 2028. So Nintendo is the only one still shifting away (key cards becoming more frequent for releases), as Xbox's last physical release, where a playable game was on the disc was 2019 with Gears 5.

@PlayerEssence I think the skins wasn’t the issue, it was the Companion Cube which is a fully licensed object from the game. I don’t think you can just make and sell your own like that.

Valve sent a Cease & Desist to Dbrand over the Companion Cube skins.

When the Xbox Rumors start getting a little too loud you know it's true... There has been so much mixed messaging since the new leadership, but I've also noticed that the new leadership, while present and vocal for a few weeks, have pretty much went completely silent. They've said it's been dead for about 13 years now, but gang... I think Xbox is dead for real 🤣.

@StormslayerDev @rich8606 There's an extra step you need to take, configuring the network tab to grab the update that lets all the DLC work. But I've not had any issues with it
