Early is the name of the game for yard work this week. Early in the day and early in the week will result in less sweating.

FIRST ALERT to the heat gradually building all week long. Peak heat index values are a little higher each day into the weekend with those spiking near 105 Fri/Sat/Sun. Thankfully dew points still look to be in the muggy range, avoiding the steamy & miserable range with this heat.

Another morning with some shallow, patchy dense fog to start the day. We could easily do this every morning this week before the sun rises.

It's not much but we added a small chance of rain with spotty T-showers possible Thursday afternoon into early evening. They should bubble up with the heat of the day and fade with the setting sun.

FIRST ALERT to a little more heat on the way than what we've had the last few days. Highs in the lower 90s with muggy air helping to drive the heat index into the mid 90s for bit. Light SSE wind at 5-10 mph too.

It's another quiet morning with some patchy fog potential. We'll warm up again this afternoon and should make it a little further into the 90s for a high. Very light SSE wind and some humidity will feel a lot like summer.

Hot & dry is the story this week. Very hard to find any rain over the next 7 to 10 days. Highs in the 90s should roast us each afternoon through the weekend.

FIRST ALERT to a gradual warm up all week long. It feels like the past weekend to start the week but it get much hotter to end it. Dew points are in the muggy range helping to keep the heat index in check a little bit until the weekend.

FIRST ALERT to that heat from the weekend continuing Monday. Highs near 90 in many spots with dew points in the muggy range. That should keep the heat index in the lower 90s at worst. Light wind makes for stagnant air.

Much like yesterday, Monday will start in the 60s and warm to near 90 with manageable humidity & light wind in the area. Abundant sunshine with a very high UV index means sunscreen and frequent breaks are needed if out in the heat.

@RustyLord I mowed yesterday. I’m pretty sure I lost ten pounds. It’s so muggy.

Heads up to getting that yard mowed when you can. It's possible today but some showers will try to get in your way, especially south. Every day you procrastinate into next week means you'll sweat a bit more with the increasing heat.
