So can understand why it's a red (but also can understand why own club see it as a solid passionate tackle)

Today's game has been called off by the assistant referee. An absurd decision. The pitch is absolutely perfect, but one small area of the touchline (pictured) is a *little* soft. Non-league football is dying, because of ridiculous decisions of officials.

Ticket price increases - It's simply greed now, the club have shown in their actions for years now they simply dont care for its orginal working class roots and support. They dont care about those of us who are simlly following our local side, the side we followed as kids, the side our parents, grandparents and great grandparents followed. They simply want as much money per seat and as much money per member and if that means a stadium full of tourists and day trippers then all the better for the finances. The ballots are such a mess that if you blink the rules have changed, it was put in with no thought, no consultation from actual supporters, again just a financial decision. The manager and players thrive on the atmosphere and are contantly asking supporters to turn up and sing up, whilst those holding the purse strings are working completely against them. My times gone now, i had the best of it, turning up on a Saturday with my fiver from my paper round aged 13. I had terraces, pay on the gate, stand with me mates, stand with random blokes you knew just by face....but my kids (5th generation and members since birth) will have to navigate some ballot and pay a fortune just to keep the tradition alive.... @refsupportuk @SkyNews Not forgetting age too... A few years ago there was an automatic retirement age and quality referees weren't given promotion as there was a ceiling... So allowed an ex player to take up the whistle with ambitions. This was a massive appointment

Genuinely delighted to see this. As Joel says, 2 refs from the BAME community refereeing in the Premier League is a sad reality. As I say in this piece on @SkyNews , the learnings are in the timespan from early 1990’s to now. The game already had Uriah Rennie and Wendy Toms in the 90’s at top flight and I always believed the leadership at The FA Referees Department didn’t do enough to build on that and had decades to do so. Now under new leadership at The FA Referees Department and the PGMOL they have supported organisations like @BAMERef and @kickitout to build, address and support these communities to help them flourish in the game.
