Regardless of the perceptions people may hold about @MikeSonko, one thing remains clear, he is a figure whose leadership qualities I genuinely acknowledge & respect. Sonko stepped out and laid his family matters bare & I nearly stopped breathing. His daughter has apparently been suffering GBV for a while, and the most shocking part isn’t even the violence, it's the bravery of the man behind it. Because raising your hand on Sonko’s daughter is not courage, it's a clear sign that your brain has filed for bankruptcy. Some men are not just tired of living in Kenya, they’re actively auditioning for the afterlife. The plot twist came when Sonko revealed that he has been bankrolling the entire household like a philanthropic ATM. He pays Rent, School fees & even bought a Range Rover for the mumu man. This man was given a full sponsorship package with lifestyle included. His only work was just to eat, sleep, kumumunya mkombero and maintain a stable electricity supply to Sonko’s daughter’s. That’s all,, the basic national grid duties. But instead of appreciating the scholarship his life had become, the man went out drinking, started entertaining yellow-yellow damsel, then staggered home to start a boxing match with the same woman whose father is capable of shutting down the city for fun. At this point it’s not poverty affecting him, it’s witchcraft mixed with arrogance. To be honest, Sonko’s generosity overflowed past normal human limits. There are things you can donate,, food, clothes & bursaries, but you don’t donate dignity to a grown man. If you over pamper such a man, he won’t see himself as a husband. He’ll see himself as an unskilled employee on a renewable contract, and every beating becomes his way of negotiating a salary increment. As you can see, His bodyguard were ready to massage the idiot but sonko defended him. Some people don’t know when they’ve entered paradise. Imagine being a Mlala hoii in Kanairo, life squeezing your neck like it owes you money, then you’re gifted a whole Range Rover, rent-free living, and a wife from a presidential-level household. All you need to do is behave. Just behave. But Omwami decided to graduate with honors in stupidity. As for me, with the way Nairobi life has been disciplining me, if I ever got the chance that man wasted,, just to supply electricity to Sonko’s child and behave myself, I would avoid women the way Sudi avoids speaking English in public. I would be so loyal maaaan. Anyhauu, people always tell me I resemble Sonko. Is it turuu? I think I need to meet the legend himself and ask him whether, somewhere back in 1994, he might have visited Sikhendu & circumnavigated through mama assembly’s wandawea.
