The juxtaposition in this video is astounding for two reasons: 1. The fact that almost every single person is recording on their phone, there is no apparent collective joy. From this angle it feels as if almost nobody is truly living in or cherishing the moment. 2. Then in the center of the crowd are a courageous but small group of people trying to bring attention to the slaughter in Palestine, waving the flag. That juxtaposition: The attendees’ apparent disconnection from real life and the people around them in order to record a moment digitally, while people right in front of them are literally begging for innocent lives to be saved — This shot could be a @blackmirror episode.
